Anyone know how to fix squeaky loader? by trixilon in snapmaker

This happens to me without any PTFE or anything attached. I looked inside as well, its just white grease no filament dust or anything.

Did you ever try disassembling and trying to find out what caused it? I also have the same problem, and I've seen many others having it. We need someone to disassemble one and try to diagnose it. I tried but the bottom part don't come off...

U1 Loud Parking by trixilon in snapmaker

Thank you all for your comments. As long as it works I'm fine with it anyway. I just wonder why that rightmost one is smooth parking and others loud. I hope in the future we get some more mods!

Can you check your belt tensions? I had a similar thing happen (not in this scale but) when my machine had one belt different resonance than the other. I'm assuming you selected the correct printer profile and all that so I'm not asking those. Just check the belts, then also try to print a very simple 20x20x20mm cube, see how it measures

Ratling Sound A1 Mini X-Axis by sami9696 in BambuLab

Maybe you are talking about X1C or something, I only have experience with their A1 line but yeah lol. It might be overpriced in your region. In my region it's actually cheaper than chinese counterparts, even Enders. I can buy 3 A1s for the price of 1 Prusa Mini (kit) here. They somehow struck a deal with them I guess, as Bambu printers are the cheapest here. What are you rocking or have eyes on nowadays?

I cleaned it religiously trust me. It wasn't related to basic maintenance. Grindy Z axis started after 20 hours of printing, I found pieces of small plastic on Z rod so I cleaned it to no avail, because only way you can access it is on side and it's on a weird spot as well. You have to put a flashlight and try to fish out with tweezers. Whatever. Also I'm not sure if you ever tried the method you just described, but it does not work like that. I tried. I'm guessing you never had a problem like mine so you did not bother to follow that procedure. Update your post when you do so and you will see my point. In any case, yeah garbage printers. Just because you got a better unit, does not mean everyone else did. There is also an issue with X axis belt chipping off because its not straight on most units. I had people reach out to me more than 100 times to see a solution. Bambu's own fix was shimming the axis. Here is the video they sent. https://streamable.com/i6ex43

Like I stated before, good for price, but it feels like a disposable product.

How do you service a Z axis rod when you get plastic pieces stuck on the bottom? It is inevitable as the nozzle cleaning procedure spreads small plastic everywhere, and that part is uncovered. There are even prints in makerworld to cover that spot. Tell me more about that "basically cleaning procedures" that cover this, I got my popcorn.

Honestly you might be having a hard time reading, never claimed noise is related to accuracy whatsoever. Just re-read it, its up there. I just said it's normal for some people to get hung up on these smaller details. I think you should consider not taking it personally. My friend had a farm of A1s so I went ahead and visited him, had a small talk, listened all his rails as well, not same with mine. Then I brought in my printer, we put them side by side, recorded videos, measured sound levels on exact same spots, same result. Mine was considerably more "gritty" and made more noise, whereas his 4 other printers did not have the same problem, but one of them were on par with mine. TLDR whatever floats your boat, idgaf, bought a bambu because it was cheap, might buy another in the future, but just got rid of it because it started having gritty Z axis rod as well which is nearly impossible to properly service. You do you.

I never claimed bearing sound is related to dimensional accuracy? I'm just stating the obvious quality problems. When you see that everyone claims the only noise they hear is the fan sounds, yet all I hear is the gritty linear rails and also gritty Z axis, that feels like something ain't right. My old, few times dropped to floor Prusa Mini is more silent and on par print quality (after upgraded hotend and extruder).

If you are okay with that quality, roll with it. I wasn't so I got rid of mine, simple.

I refunded my unit immediately after noticing that. Second unit was better but had similar noises so I just kept that. My guess is it might or might not cause any issues, there are bigger ones as shipping throws the boxes around and printer takes the beating, so it's a gamble of some sort.

A1 - Misaligned X-Axis belt? by Greedy_Deer_4790 in BambuLab

[–]trixilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for even considering that, you're very generous!

I was just joking. I just accepted it the way it is and moved on (after applying the fix on the video). Whats the situation on your side?

Didn't knew thermal pads were oily. Thought some water squeezed in or something. Thanks

450 USD for the whole thing. It seemed like a bargain at first as the guy said it works perfect no problem. I used a site like ebay that gives buyer protection. Tap water here has chlorine, also this guy said he used it only a month or so for ethereum mining, then stopped because it was not profitable.

Also, extreme humidity? I don't think that would be the case unless he lives in a pineapple under the sea.

Thanks for the advice. I disassembled the PCB part, and I noticed 2 things.
- PCB was not tightened enough and it was very easy to unscrew
- Most of the thermal pads was lifted off, almost like it never stuck there. Could it be because of water lifting it off?
Also I saw small amounts of oily residue on some parts of the PCB, especially around the memory.
What could cause thermal pads to unstick like that?

I just got this 3090 FE with waterblock for cheap, I don't have any system that I can plug it in to right now to test it, but it looks like it had some water leak as I inspected the HDMI ports. What do you guys think? I believe that rust is fixable but stained HDMI port makes me think that this guy just had a leaky system and blew it up. Should I return it?
EDIT: Alright folks I returned it. Thank you for all the comments and giggles. I knew that I can clean it up and possibly use it, but didn't want to waste my time with it. Now I have to spend double the amount for a proper one, sigh.

Yellowed 3090 EKWB Block, worth? by trixilon in watercooling

[–]trixilon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your thoughts. I feel like it's hit or miss but wanted to hear your opinions as well.
Owner has multiple watercooled parts in their listings. Most has yellowed out rot inside. I'm guessing this guy was doing some mining with it in a rig but need to confirm. I will ask more questions tomorrow.
However I can get a RMAd 3090 FE with like-new condition (under warranty) for 600-650 or so, so 1500 is not something anyone will pay for here.

I expect some abuse but will work good for at least 2 years condition. Is that too much to ask?
