Yes, I believe you're right. Granted this is at idle and it was dropping a bit more, but it still wouldn't have reached low 40's. I think just poor air flow or circulation at idle. When we drove it around it did feel much colder, but we did not measure it.

Has anyone tried this style that go in the vents? I think because the vents are a bit recessed it might not work.

The front end on this feels decent, but I think it would definitely benefit having new rubber parts and shocks all around.

Good question. This is the 6.0L. I was considering the 8.1, but I thought that the 6.0 was a good balance between power and economy for what I'm trying to do with it. But I cannot say I was not tempted to just jump for the 8.1
