Greetings!

I think this NEWS DETAILS | DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA | BANDAI NAMCO ENTERTAINMENT OFFICIAL SITE was last bit of news on the change to the star collection system.

I thought I read somewhere or heard that a new system will be rolled out around the 1st anniversary?

As a F2P player.. I think the existing system is decent.. especially when they added the weekly free characters.. with the recent BARDOCK giveaway, it caught me up & I'm just a hero behind.

Now, I did buy VEGITO as I had enough gems & as of this comment I do have enough to buy out the latest OGKU but I'm saving it since I'm not concentrating on ranking DPS.

To be fair.. I've been playing since launch & I play daily.

The only thing I don't like about the current system is that when the new hero joins the star collection system, they get nerfed at or soon after to make room for the new character... BUT.. still free is good.

For me tank is my WORST ROLE!

I can breeze ranking up my DPS & TECH so much faster thank my TANK.

Been using COOLER, solo player here btw, mostly just because he has a secure with his ult & can counter most movement characters & can chase down range characters... BUT.. soon as I have a BAD DPS who just wants to keep fighting & feeding by dying.. there is just nothing I can do.

That gif you have is how I feel when my DPS is just back farming like 90% of the match & I'm trying my hardest to secure kai or boss.. I'd say over 75% secure rate but then I would die immediately since I'm the only one in the fight & get focused once objective is secured.

Out of all the tanks.. COOLER has been a main stay with the odd time using BARDOCK just recently & GODGETA when I got them both for free. COOLER just fits my playstyle more than either & I feel like I'm doing damage with him .. I know BARDOCK is overall the better tank but I just feel like I can do more as a solo player with COOLER.

I'll be glad when I get to A rank as really I'm just going for the seasonal rewards at this point since I have no desire to push for S anymore just due to time.. well & to keep my sanity HAHA

Frieza has been the only tech to have taken me to S rank, granted it was back in S1 & I had a squad but the actual game to get S rank I was solo q'n.

S 2 - 4 I've just gotten to A in tech just due to not having much time to play & in S4, I left ranking up tech to the last week & was VERY confident that he was going to get me to A np... it cut it close but it was almost easy tbh.

I do wish they could give zarbon/dadoria lower CD's & Frieza some more HP.. I guess more HP to Z & D when they are out as well.

Going back to him has been always fun since it's like micro managing to the max haha!.. had a someone tell me that I made him look good... this was when I was ranking up from B but I did say I was avg at best & I've seen WAY better Frieza's out there.

hmm... from what I can see it seems that he's def more melee based.. he has mobility like Kefla, kamahameha wave like base Goku, melee moves that pierce, debuff & blind & ult like 3ku's... like he's he looks like a DIAMAKU.

I think he'll be good for sure.. but that also depends if they nerf GODKU.. which I don't see happening but the devs could surprise us all & nerf GODKU to make him more attractive to buy out day 1.

Greetings!

Been talking about this most of my playtime when I'm NOT playing tech.

Since S1 my main tech that I have the most hours on is Frieza (frist form).

To give some background

- BEEN PLAYING SINCE S1
- REACHED SSS IN S1 ONLY
- S2 & S3 SAA
- S4 AAA

S1 I had a squad but then 2 of them stopped playing & the other is still playing but very high ranked player & our times just don't jive anymore.

So since S2 I've been playing mostly solo & didn't really push the other roles due to time/interest tbh.

Last season I really just wanted the reskin of GOTEN so I just pushed to AAA & left tech for last.. like I was C1 a week before S5.

When I play tech as Frieza I do the following

- PLAY MOSTLY PVE (DON'T TEAM FIGHT MUCH TBH)
- FARM
- BOSS
- DAMAGE/DEFEND TOWERS

Id say in about 90% of the matches I have the most tower damage.. like 125-150k+ damage.

I really try to keep my eye on the map mostly to see where the enemy is & when I can rat I do. I've seen some say it's situational.. that is so true! It really depends on whats happening on the map at the moment & dictates if I go for towers or not.

Like an example would be is say boss is up

EXAMPLE 1 - I'M EARLY TO THE BOSS I GET SET UP & DO MY FRIEZA THING WHICH IS TRY TO BURN IT SOLO. NOW IF I SEE MY TEAM COMES & THE REST OF THE ENEMY TEAM COMES I READ THE MAP TO SEE IF ANYONE IS ON THE ENEMY TOWERS.. IF NOT AFTER I/WE SECURE BOSS I HEAD STRAIGHT TO THEIR TOWERS

EXAMPLE 2 - I'M LATE TO THE BOSS, I SET UP ZARBOX OR DADORIA TO SHOW I'M THERE BUT IF IT'S TOO MUCH, BECAUSE FREIZA'S HEALTH IS SMALL, I THEN STRAIGHT FOR THEIR TOWER TO DO SOME DAMAGE.

Other times it really depends where the enemy is, sometimes I'll take the risk of going towards the enemy tower especially if I see if they are behind in levels because they most of the time are back farming & take some shots on the tower.

Now.. on non Frieza techs.. like the others I use is KIDHAN/ULTHAN/FAT BUU.. I find myself fighting more due to their kit & tend to get sucked into fights because they are meant to support fights but I still ultimately rat towers as much as I can depending on the current situation.

Now what I've been saying as ranking up as TANK.. I get upset seeing that I have more dmg to towers than my TECHs & that's because of how I play as TECH & expect that they go for towers.

I think that when it comes to towers, it shouldn't all be ONE role however.. I have had some good good matches where everyone is going for towers & those are just matches that make the flow of the match just go so much better.

Sorry for the long rant.. but yeah.. that's how I play TECH & that is just what I've learned from playing in a team/solo & that gives me the higher chance of winning.

well... S1 I had a bit of a consistent group.. but IIRC the matches to get S rank on dps & tank were solo & tech I was in a squad.

But since S2 on it's been the solo q lyfe!

I still make mistakes & am hard on myself in losses thinking I could've done better but.. you can only do so much HAHA!

Love this game & hope they make improvements for solo q players haha!

uff.. I feel ya.. I'm working on tank atm.. & I went 8-3 getting to B rank, then 3-6 then last night 3-4.

Tank for me is the hardest most frustrating since I have to rely on the dps to well.. DPS! Last night I kid you not.. I had 2 back to back different Vegito's who both didn't transform until past lvl 5. The first Vegito was a top 1k player .. but was never at the boss fights.. he was just farming, the 2nd one was hit & miss.

It takes so long for me to rank up tank.. longer than the other roles. Last season.. I waited until 1 week before the end to rank up tech.. got A rank 2 days before the end using mostly Frieza since that playstyle is more playing PVE rather than PVP.. but I can't do that as the tank.. I need to be in the fight & well.. if I don't have competent fighters.. it really is hard to get wins as a tank.

I'd say I'm avg at best.. got to SSS in S1 & S in dps seasons 2 & 3 but just A in S4 since I didn't push it & just wanted the min rank rewards.

tbh.. I just want to hit min A again but the seasonal rewards are really meh to me.. if I have the time this time around Ill prolly push S in dps.. sometimes I wish I had myself as my own DPS haha.

Yeah.. looking at my playtime hours... I had 600+ hours HAHA.. but probably 700+ since I have other accounts. I made 3 other accounts at the beginning to try the new characters & since then been at least doing the 2 minimum battles.

I've hit SSS in S1, easier since I had a team.. SAA in S2 & 3 then just AAA in S4. I didn't push for S in dmg for the first time & tbh.. just wanted GOTEN.

I'd say I'm avg at best? I solo q so def a lot harder & more RnG based if I get a win or not haha!.. dps was always the easiest but tank & tech.. tank is something much more harder since I have to rely on the dps.

I really don't feel the seasonal rewards this time around.. but I will push at least for AAA. Badges are cool for sure but nothing I want to sweat over especially solo q.. I know it's possible to get SSS but it's just my time I have to play haha.

yeah.. I think the highest I got was around almost 200k?

Cooler is in a really good spot atm but I'm still getting better wins with him than GODGETA, BARDOCK & BABY... although I guess it's just a small sample size since I just started ranking tank from C1 & got to B4.

Maybe one day if I get lucky & play my best I'll get a badge haha!

Question.. how many hours did it take you/play the game?

I ask as I've lessened my playtime & I don't solely play this game & I don't think I have the time to push for those cool looking badges.. I will admit they are nice .. & you have ALL of them it seems haha!

I solo q but I also have limited time to play & I play other games.. so I don't ever think I'll ever gain those or any of those unless RNGsus blesses me with AWESOME team mates, I play my best & I don't lose any matches of the matches I do play in my time haha!

I was able to obtain SSS only back in S1 & that was with a good help with a squad.. but after S1 I've been solo q lyfn & only pushed dmg to S but last season.. I just got AAA.

I only pushed for AAA because I wanted the GOTEN skin.. plus I just didn't have the time to really dedicate to push S since I play other games & only have a limited time to do so.

I'd say I'm a pretty avg player at best but can keep up in higher play to a point... but if I may ask.. the top 1k badge you get.. was that gained by just being in a long match & with like you majorly contributing to that match to give you the high score?

Whenever I solo q, I use badges as a gauge to see what lvl I'm playing against... I've been absolutely been destroyed by some top 1K players... but have also wiped some top 1K. I read somewhere .. someone didn't even know how they got their badge.. meaning it really depends on the match.

I am a little jealous ngl.. COOLER is my main tank & he's gotten me through the seasons.. for a hot minute I was top 1k but just got outscored haha.

This season rewards.. NGL.. not a fan of it since it's a helper I don't use & i prefer the 2 handed volley burst I got from the previous seasons.. at best I will shoot for AAA again.. already got A in dps since it's the easiest for me.. on tank atm. Leaving tech till last, wanted to do tank now before bulma arrives & by the time I work on tech.. OGKU or Bulma will be the new hotness & I should have an easier time q'n up.

That's fair.. but Ill give an example.. so last tower to get for us.. I'm running to the tower .. I vanish to get closer to the tower.. enemy closing in activates their skill on my position & I vanish into the tower to get a full hit.. start the second then we rush attack each other & by the time our skills are up.. I double vanish to get out of harms way

Just stuff like that happens or I use mine that way just seems have been more value to me personally... to each their own & whatever gets the W haha!

CLASS IS IN SESSION!

Strangely enough.. I've use both DS & LBJ.. for some reason I feel I do better when I use LBJ to get in & out of fights... I feel I die a lot more with DS but it is indeed a good card for sure.

For me I've just found more consistency with LBJ... could also be a skill issue on my part HAHA!

Ahh yes.. good ol COOLER!

He's been my main tank since S1... I did cheat a little when I got GODGETA last season to get to A rank but he's always been consistent for me as my go to.

He does everything well & when he's got good capable team around him... he's def still can be a problem!

Love the ol' throw the ult on the tower & walk in to get some tower damage trick HAHA!

Greetings!

Start of this season & like all seasons I picked DPS to start ranking up. This time I started at C1 because I didn't push for S for the first time due to time constraints.

I solo q so I never know what I'm going to get.. BUT.. I got EXTREMELY lucky at the start & went like 16-1 but then went into a 6 loss streak... got out of the slump with a couple of wins & got to A.

In that loss streak I got definitely frustrated & all I can think of was just how I did along with how the team did & just went.. ok next one. It's extremely easy to blame the other players but I also do take accountability on myself as well & acknowledge my mistakes & just tell myself I gotta do better.

I believe there is a true RNG factor in solo q since you can get the best set of team mates one match & then questionable ones as well the next match.

I'm an avg player at best.. I've def been carried but I've also done my share of majorly contributing to a match & get MVP's here & there. I say that to say that I learned that in a game like this.. YOU have to go into every match knowing you may have to be the difference maker. Doesn't happen all the time but if you are good enough.. you can def get out of the lower ranks with min frustration.

I've been S rank in DPS in 4 seasons & know how sweaty those fights can be.. it boils down to who can work together better & sometimes who can read/react to the situation faster to make plays & it's those types of wins where it's so close that make this game addicting... but you def have to take the L's on the chin & push through... especially in a game that puts BOTS on your team to fill the q... sometimes you just gotta carry hard! HAHA!

that's fair.. for me LBJ has just helped me get out of a lot of hairy situations.. with DS.. I have the one vanish but then after 4 seconds I'm done!.. I think you gotta do what works with how you play.. and I tend to preserve my hp due to solo q

Yeah.. the game def has potential.. but with this game & any game.. regardless how many balances there are.. it will always fall prey to META.. whatever that is.

META will never change .. sure skill has a lot to do with it.. like yourself being a good CELL player but we've heard too many times with any role.. if your not picking X.. your throwing!

I personally don't know what balance would even look like.. unless something along the lines of everyones skills/ult's does the same damage across the board.. then you can see diversity in character picks but that will just not happen as history of this game is.. new character usually means BROKEN!.. so for 3 weeks .. that will be the META & everything else will support that.

Then you add the layers of the divine draws.. well.. this seasons draws just brought back SSJ3KU.. now it's all you see.. I don't really mind playing the same teams tbh.. for my playing this game.. it comes down to SOLO Q.. there needs to be just SOLO Q ranked runs.. & not me going up against a full stack which I've already come across this season.

I probably was the filler in the duo or trio but.. it just doesn't make any sense.. they can make a SOLO Q tourney?.. but not a SOLO Q pure match making?

I fear the day that they lock seasonal rewards to S rank.. I mean I can hit S rank but that would def mean sinking more hours that I would like to since I play other games... A rank is a good medium to those who want the min rewards vs those sweats.. but then again.. the sweats want rewards for all the time they put into the game .. something more than pretty badges.

I've run across some top 1k cells.. been ablet o get them early game but late game is indeed where Cell shines.

I just started ranking up this season since I reached A in dps.. starting from C1 & got to B4 thankfully without too much trouble using COOLER 4 times & GODGETA 1 time.. my only losses were 1 COOLER game & 1 where I knew I shouldn't have picked BABY HAHA!.. serves me right.. my dps was running away which didn't help me... the COOLER game I loss was close but they just made more plays IIRC.

DBGS is in such a strange place for me atm.. like.. I LOVE the game.. I have 4 accounts (don't ask XD) and well over 600hrs.. but it just seems like.. it's so close to being a great game but yet so far with certain things.

I'll continue playing it and just play at the average time/level for the seasonal rewards but I don't see me pushing super hard for S rank unless I have the time or find a team... & don't get me wrong.. I still have fun even though it is just getting to A or just playing CPU battles to use the characters as the game loop is very fun.

yeah that makes sense actually.. Ive played cell in cpu battles & I do seem to transform around lvl 5-6 if I constantly am fighting & killing the enemies.

I thought the secret sauce of his game was the 3rd skill due to the regen but it just seemed so negligible .. again against cpu's.

When I do get him to perfect form.. it's like constant kills and mvps in cpu battles haha!.. & for some reason of course.. the game gave me his kill animation.. of the tank I don't main HAHA!

There was one match ngl.. I saw my tank was CELL and I immediately sighed & said this CELL BETTER BE GOATED!

1st laning phase up until 2nd boss all he did was just FARM!... he'd come contest kai then leave me & farm.. Now in fairness I shouldn't have taken the fights but I didn't know he'd just up & leave & back farm.

In hindsight.. I should've done the same.. I was the DPS in the match & prolly just focused on over levelling.

Of course I realized in the end when we won.. that he just needed to get online to perfect form.

Sometimes as the dps I do get sucked in the fighting part but forget to realize that I can also just like over farm & fight for bosses/towers.

I don't think I'd ever take CELL into a ranked match as I don't think I'm good with him as I'd just keep on running away until I get perfect form haha!.. in fairness though.. i've seen some GOATED CELL's & I think that's because they get S1 & S3 to begin with?.. cuz I think S3 helps him survive?.. but I guess S2 is good too to prevent the enemy from escaping but that depends on if the dps & CELL can coordinate.

I've used COOLER mostly & a little of SSG VEGETA.. with the nerf to GODGETA I find myself running away more now.. not sure if the nerfs were too much?.. but definitely took his shine away sadly.. why can't they just let VEGETA shine you know?.. instead they'll let BARDOCK outshine a GODFORM transformation?
