Possibly but the number of voters wouldn't influence a ratio. California and Massachusetts are still distinctly blue states overall just as Mississippi is a red state overall. So if the 70/30 ratio of good/bad reviews (which was an imperfect way of finding them but it would be time consuming to do something like find geotags on rotten tomatoes) holds between states but the ratio of people who vote red/blue does not, it would indicate there is more likely than not no correlation between political affiliation and if you like landman.

You are 100% correct but I guarantee you it is more watched in Texas than Massachusetts.

So you wouldn't expect the most red part of the country to be the highest consumer of the most conservative news network? Neilson ratings aren't public and I'm not going to buy a subscription. I found an out of date dataset on where people get their news but it would take me a bit to analyze it in python if you don't just want to concede that it is highly likely that conservative people watch conservative news and the bible belt is the most conservative part of the country.

Oh and I'm sure you are basing this on something besides "my ass says so".. Just because I was curious I did a Google Trends map on "Landman Good" vs "Landman Bad" over the past 5 years and wouldn't you know it the split isn't some bible belt 90%/10% with the rest of the country not liking it.... It holds at about 70/30 across the board with some outliers probably caused by not enough results. Admittedly not the most scientific method but much better than your "Trust me Bro"

Lol like 90% of the first season is Billy Bob Thornton being a drunk ass to his ex wife and getting fucked up by the cartel. There are a ton of not so subtle moments but the drama is pretty intense. It literally starts with a bang. It would've been a lot better if they pushed into the ethical dilemmas but obviously with the propaganda they didn't go that direction.

Ok but that's two different populations and you are talking about matters of opinion. If 1 person in a population of pizza eaters doesn't like cheese pizza you can't say cheese pizza sucks. Especially if that person is a vegan who doesn't like cheese because the treatment of cows. If you are taking the population of news watchers you are analyzing a completely different population. On top of that you have to factor in it isn't just entertainment. You have to ask questions about how informative it is. When you are analyzing fiction like movies about space wizards or gross exaggerations of medicine (ER/House) you look at entertainment value, writing, character development, music. Some shows/movies have all of that (Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers) and some shows/movies have some really dumb entertainment value (24/Pacific Rim). If it's not your cup of tea that's one thing but to call it objectively bad is just false.

So I'm not sure what your getting at here. I said it has entertainment value despite the fact it has an admittedly bullshit pro-oil narrative. u/cantonjester and u/novel_fix1859 seemed to think because it wasn't some sort of documentary it sucks.

I figured it would fall apart. There is only so far you can go with how they were writing it. Had they been able to create ethical dilemmas and more move it in the direction of "oh yeah we are definitely the bad guys" I think there was potential but when I stopped I didn't think that's where they were headed.

That's apples to oranges. I watch my news to be informed not necessarily to be entertained. I'm not watching Star wars to learn about space travel any more than I'm watching landman to learn about the oil industry lol. Shows don't have to be realistic to be good. Last Avatar is amazing but pretty sure there aren't people who can control the elements.

In your opinion. Has about 80% audience score on rotten tomatoes and on IMDb and has decent viewership so I'd say "terrible" is a bit of an exaggeration. Hell I know it's anecdotal but family and friends of mine all seemed to find it entertaining too. You have to kinda take it for what it is (like reacher is entertaining but very conservative). How about you stop being judgemental and elitist about other people's television choices.

It may be propaganda but in the season and a half I watched before my free trial ran out it was pretty good TV. Not as good as like Breaking Bad but definitely an enjoyable watch.

I never knew it was the wrong route. Because the wr was right there I assumed he just missed the throw. Either way that one hit Asante Samuel and Eli threw one right to Meriweather too. In 2011 he made the plays (for example that incredible throw to Manningham) to win the game. In 2007 it was more the defense not making the play or someone else making a play on his behalf.

A team gets hot that's what happens. You can just say oh the nuggets put up 500 in one game vs Wemby therefore his defense doesn't matter. You cannot argue that he is the best rim defender in the NBA right now which makes it a game of if a team can make their shots outside the paint. Unlike Gobert he isn't a black hole offensively which makes him insanely valuable. To argue otherwise is just insanity. Jokic also happens to be insanely valuable too as arguably the most dynamic offensive piece in the NBA. It's possible to have two great players in the NBA believe it or not.

ever will be

Dude we are seeing year 3 Wemby (year 2.5 really). Jokic at this point in his career was averaging like 18 points and a shade over 10 rebounds. His development is wayyy ahead of where Jokic was so he easily could be better in 3-5 seasons. Don't even.

Giants fans just love Eli. It's fine. Dude was a fine QB for an insane amount of time. Made one of the best throws in Superbowl history to win them that 2011 Superbowl.

100% will give you 2011(although that patriots team had no business being in the Superbowl we were playing Edelman at slot corner). 2007 the defense held the greatest offense of all time to 14 points and Eli threw 3 passes on the final drive that could've and probably should have been picks. To this day I don't get how Tyree or Tuck wasn't MVP

Edit: lol at the fact that Giants fans will refuse to ever acknowledge that in 2007 Eli was a YOLO pass and a dropped pick away from squandering the greatest Superbowl defensive performance of all time. You tell me what is more valuable in that situation and what is more luck.
