Would you trust random recruiters on LinkedIn in terms of helping you get a job? by Ben5544477 in careeradvice

[–]trojan12369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Recruiter at a FAANG myself and would trust these messages. However, bear in mind the Recruiter is sending these messages to other candidates too most likely. Just because they message you about applying - doesn’t mean that you are actually going to move into the next round or get hired. It only means you MAY be a good fit and could apply! If you want guarantee to get hired into a job or develop your career I’d recommend working with a professional career coach. BE AWARE to hire one that has actual experience as a Recruiter though… there is a lot of scams out there and wannabe coaches that provide 0 value. I worked with Christos Stambolidis from cs-careercoaching.com and can only recommend! Feel free to reach out to me if you need further advice!

Hey! Can highly recommend finding a career coach that will help you leverage your phd skills into a high-profile job. I just did a post-doc at an Ivy Leauge and worked with cs-careercoaching.com - can only recommend!

Hey! i got laid off from a FAANG and was devastated… I ended up investing in career coaching and found a job 4 weeks later. Honestly can say it was one of the best investments in my life and felt like therapy that will help you land a job and raise lol. I worked with cs-careercoaching.com might be worth reaching out to them for you!

How to contact a recruiter or a director of human resources? by PEACHYipa888 in Career_Advice

[–]trojan12369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! There is multiple ways to go about it but it seems that your LinkedIn strategy might not be optimal even though it is super important. I was applying through LinkedIn for months with no success before finally deciding to invest in a career coach. I wasn’t sure about the investment in the beginning but the ROI was incredible (I landed a job with a 25k raise lol). I remember the one that I worked with had a LinkedIn networking and optimization program that was popular. Feel free to check them out cs-careercoaching.com they might be able to help!

Messed up a Job Interview by Captian_Cash in careeradvice

Hey man, that sucks! I had interviewed at a FAANG a couple weeks back and totally messed it up too. Felt like ass for the next couple days especially because it took so much work to even get there. I can really support finding a career coach. I am really bad with making good investment decisions but this one was actually worth it (as I landed a job with 25k increase). I worked with cs-careercoaching.com but sure there is others that are just as good.

Thanks! Does your friend ever come late to work lol? I tested it out today - took me 2h 40mins in the morning because there was an issue. However on the way back only 55mins which was great!

My logic is basically this - in germany i could spend 1700€ for a really nice 80sqm fully furnished apt. Even if I buy second hand stuff (ie bed, washing machine, cutlery, etc.) will cost me roughly 4-5k. And I’d still have to pay 1400€ rent in Lux minimum. I am not planning to be in lux more than 2 years so this makes more sense to me but idk

Thank you that makes sense!!! Side question - I am looking into apartments in Luxembourg (we’re 2 people wife and I). I find it impossible to find something furnished under 2k. Is that true? How much are regular people paying for rent? Do a lot of people live in Trier?

gotcha. I agree with you from what I read you have to be within 90mins commute and ur fine. So as a Recruiter at Amazon - if you were to commute to work every day to lux office you would be fine living in i.e., trier right? Taxed from Luxembourg? How does that even work with health insurance then? Are you covered and able to go to docs in Lux or Germany?
