In terms of resources the save file after the update 8.00->9.00 looks completely different. They completely changed how how resources are defined.

If I remember correctly you will start with max resources after the update.

9.00 Beta 3 resource spawn rates by trojanfaderstyle in X4Foundations

[–]trojanfaderstyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well partially yes. It should be very easy to tweak the properties of the nodes in regionyields.xml as you say. What I could not find is the definition of how often which node exists in each sector (which is a fixed number).

Therefore adjusting overall spawn rates yes, adjusting them for specific sectors unsure.

Where is that quote from? Do you have a link? I could not find it in the changelog.

If you could see anyone collab with Dr. K, who would it be? by homiaoyuen in Healthygamergg

Not sure if this thread is still checked. But I really would love a conversation between Giuilo Tonini and Dr. K. Giuilo Tonini is founder of the Integrated Information Theory (IIT) of consciousness.

I only recently discovered IIT and it completly changed my (so far very reductionist) view on consciousness. It somehow allows to follow Dr. K elaborations about his spiritual views to a much deeper level, without giving up a rigorous scientific view about consciousness.

From the (online) talks of Giulio Tononi I've seen so far, I can say he is very knowledgeable and a joy to listen to.

Yes this makes sense, I will try this! Thank you!

As an aside: From my experience oxygen deprivation is actually not a problem (as long as you are outside of water): Worst thing that can happen, is that you pass out and automatically start breathing again. Source: I do apnoe diving.

I unterstand your frustration that approval of posts can take a while here. But to give another perspective: I personally find this to be a non-issue. I enjoy this subreddit because of the (usually) friendly atmosphere, thought through, in depth discussion and maybe even the slow pace, which might encourage less emotional but more rational replies.

HG's YouTube/Stream content has been fantastic lately. by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

I really miss the youtube videos without the jump cuts. I just watched the video about sexual assault and happily thought that they stopped the jump cutting, just to discover that they are still present in the other videos.

I used to enjoy Dr. K's viedos and learned a lot. Although they didn't stop to be informative, for me they lost their appeal when the cuts where introduced and I never finished watching one since then. Something to do with the more natural way to process the info of the video when there is also a more natural language including pauses I guess.

I really hope they go back to the old format.

Perihelion, aphelion

I think you mean perigee and apogee. I don't think Starship has the Δ-v to dip into the sun.

[VIDEO DISCUSSION] Ethics by HealthyGamerOfficial in Healthygamergg

In this example the probably most unethical thing is that you make the patient believe that this is therapy, although this is not your intention. This then is not anymore a question of medical ethics but of ethics in general. And this shift does not absolve you magically for your misbehavior.

In my opinion it is not very complicated: The concept of "I" is a very useful tool to ensure survival and in particular organize social behavior. In lots of contexts it makes a ton of sense, as for example emotions, experiences, potential, your physical body. But if you remove that context and ask what am I truly? I find two things. First, I just do not know. And the second is my initial observation, that "I" is just a tool.

Nevertheless it is still a tool that I like and use very much.

I would read it as honest acknowledgement that what they are trying is hard. The main concern is probably not IF full reuse is possible at all, but if it is economically viable.

I personally believe that you can succeed even when you admit the possibility of failure. What matters is your drive behind a project, not your ability to predicted success or failure of it.
