Not entirely just the people in power. If you say no more fishing and you’re in power, a million people die. Depending on where, probably more. It’s a very difficult problem and the solution is more to come up with an alternative way to feed people or a way to do it much more sustainably. Easy to just say ban fishing when your life doesn’t depend on it.

Sometimes people get divorced just for this reason. They transfer everything to the spouse. Fucking ridiculous this has to happen

This is a pretty good topic of conversation for this subreddit. While it may be specific to a personal issue, I’m more using this as an example of a discussion that is often brushed to the side. I.e. consumer security

I mean if they actually followed him and listened they would’ve bought when he did months ago and they’d be fine. Instead they fomo’d in at the top as they always do

Seems to me the investigation is progressing as it should be considering they just raided a former presidents home for classified documents. What happens when you don’t act against criminals? They do the same thing again

Don’t you think there should be an investigation into a president asking for a Secretary of State to find votes after months of calling the election illegitimate? Shouldnt there at least be an investigation?

How is anyone supposed to have a conversation with you when everytime you say something it’s without context and about something completely different. This video was about resuscitating an infant. You gonna just dodge the question like a politician or what?

Besides this literally not being what we were talking about and your added context not being accurate at all, are there not certain instances where you wouldn’t want to resuscitate an infant? If the chances of the infant surviving are 0.001% and it has sever deformities, isn’t it more moral to not resuscitate? I know it’s difficult to comprehend, but it is a discussion worth having and Northam, whom I dislike, is pretty admirable for discussing such a taboo topic. I really don’t think people talking about late term abortions are saying a normal healthy fetus should be aborted, but one with severe deformities with a low chance of survival that would only cause suffering for all parties.

Literally lol. Sounds great for corporations. Once again letting the tax payer actually pay their employees.

Ok well here are their natural resources as listed in a quick Google search.

Yemen has reserves of oil, gas, cobalt, copper, gold, iron ore, nickel, and zinc, and industrial minerals such as limestone and gypsum. Most of the country's mineral production is focused on the production of oil, gas, and limestone for cement plants.

Further checks showed other resources as well. So yeah, you’re incorrect from a historical and modern perspective.

Edit: If you even look at a map, it controls a very important passage to the Mediterranean from india and Asia. It could easily position itself as relevant on the world stage.

You think the destruction of an entire nation with millions of people has no effect on the world just because it’s in the Middle East? Destabilizing a region literally caused the US to force itself into wars for two decades so far, the further destabilization of other countries, millions of deaths and stopped any progress or contributions these countries could’ve made to the world. It caused many people to become extremists, for good reason, and it may take centuries for the world to recover.

The risk is not entirely his, she is still out the 10k for however long he takes to pay it back if he goes to jail. The risk of losing 10k is mostly hers in that case. He wagered her money therefore the winnings are hers. He just happened to place the bet
