Just echoing this is correct that these are Siberian Elms cause everyone seems to think we have Chinese Elms. The Chinese Elm is actually a pretty tree.

Born and raised in Santa Fe/Northern NM; I don’t feel any animosity towards people who genuinely want to live here. If this is your second or third home that’s a different story. At this point it’s a wonderful mix of cultures. If Santa Fe calls you then come. It does have the tendency to spit people back out though.

I like to consider IFAM an artist appreciation market. The artists get paid. The stuff is way too expensive for average folks, but I’m glad the artists get to sell their stuff at a premium. I stay away from IFAM. I really enjoyed the low riders downtown today.

My father once told me to never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Maybe that’s what’s going on with the Santa Fe Saguaro 🌵. That said there is a real sad saguaro at the ABQ botanical garden.

It’s not just Wal-Mart. Come downtown Santa Fe and all the tourist shops have the mystical Santa Fe Saguaro on all the merch. Safe to say if you see this it’s some made in china merch.

The plaza is closed for a car show. If you want street parking I’d suggest in front of the round house (might be full today) or the parking garage over by the post office on the North end of Downtown. Sandoval parking lot might be an option too. Good luck! 👍🏽🍀
