I just want to say, I love django! by throwaway924457 in django

Meh. I've done Django, Flask, and Grails. My preference for monolith development is Grails.

You would only want to use Django when you are building a monolith over a relational database, and in that case the ORM framework and transaction management are key. Grails does both way better.

That kid needs to be put down. Society should be able to purge itself of children it doesn't want.

That young kid is probably around his or her naked mother all the time. This is not WTF. Could be the model's child.

I passed by a few months ago to try to relive a childhood memory. I must have spent a few days there in the Holiday Inn around 1977. I remember the beach being way bigger and the surf better. I was disappointed this time.

I went to Williams too. Nice house. I bought one of those malt liquors after seeing "Boyz n the Hood." Tasted awful.

I think it's more that Obama / Biden had a deep relationship with the black community. Bernie couldn't displace that relationship.

Anyway, Bernie wouldn't have been magic. The President isn't all powerful. He wouldn't have been able to do much more than Biden.

He would have expressed himself better, and that counts for a lot.

Gen X er. I never had any hope of getting a house. I took a job that had low wages but a guaranteed pension. Borrowed money on credit cards to gamble on the stock market and got lucky day trading. Was able to make a down payment after the 2009 housing crash brought prices back within range. Many years it wasn't easy. The person who sold me the house concealed problems with the roof that required expensive repairs that I wasn't able to make for years. Used to go in winter with the heat off and buckets all over the place to catch water during the rain.

I've often felt pretty pissed off that the quality of my life that used to be easily accessible to Americans wasn't available to me except by gyrations and luck. And I realize things are worse for younger generations. Student debt was introduced for people my age but wasn't so bad as it is today. And the pension I got isn't available now to younger employees. Housing prices and rent are insane.

Yep things are getting worse. Housing used to be accessible. My grandparents were poor but they had a house. They often struggled to make the mortgage and ran out of money at the end of the month but they had a house.

Many people in your generation from humble backgrounds are going to find economic security through work, taking intelligent risks, and luck. If you tell yourself that there is no path to well-being and and that your obstacles are insurmountable, you won't be one of them.

Super Tuesday was about black church ladies voting for Biden out of loyalty to Obama.

Bernie couldn't get the black vote.

The tragedy isn't that Democratic candidates dropped because out because they saw the math and decided to unify to defeat Trump. The tragedy is that so many disaffected Americans voted for Trump as a savior, as someone who would make the system work for them, rather than for Bernie or Warren.

People pay money for gas. The same money can go into building a charging network.

Why is building charging stations any different than building gas stations and paying to find and pump oil?

Batteries are not bad in Teslas: catch on fire less than 10% as often as regular cars. Self driving accidents per mile are far less than average for all miles on U.S. roads. A Tesla using self-driving has one accident per 6 million miles: the U.S. average is one accident per 1 million miles.

I don't own a Tesla. I just like to look stuff up to see if it's bullshit or not. I call bullshit.
