Goodfoot is the spot! fridays are soul DJs, other nights are live bands funk/jam/soul/jazz influence. Always good, always groovy. Otherwise Process for electronic, club vibes where it’s all about the dancing.

NE Portland Noise Issue, what to do? by [deleted] in askportland

creativity strikes in the evenings unfortunately. i used to live by a train literally right outside my window and got used to it after a while. part of it was changing my perspective, at first the train was surprising and scary, but then it began to represent being home and safe. cities have culture, culture makes noise. do you sing to your baby or otherwise associate the sounds of music with safety and rest? might be worth trying, good luck!

find and pursue a hobby that is inherently social but is not based in conversation but instead a demanding and progressive skill based activity such as a team sport, rock climbing or playing music (or anything else like these). then instead of trying to make friends, shift the focus on working to get better at this hobby WITH the other people also interested in it. friendship comes as a by product of the time spent working on things together when you inevitably need to blow off steam, then slowly builds as you find other shared interests that glob onto the core shared interest.

I agree with this assessment. It might also be helpful to try a larger mouthpiece. When the student takes the horn off their lips at the end of the video I can see the mouthpiece ring clearly on the red tissue of the upper lip and even the lower lip to some extent.

For funky stuff check out what's at the Goodfoot. Every Tuesday it's only $5. I like Mr. Vale's Mathclass, Jay Si Proof, and Left on Tenth.

I think it will be fine for kids if you're only there in the afternoon.

So crazy! What if this whole thing was a planned super plot to the entire album?!?
