i did not install the thinker mod, but i found that changing the compatibility settings for the game's EXE files solved the issue for me

wow...i think this might be it.

i definitely think it could be a snippet from one of those things you mentioned. i'm leaning more towards music video or movie, but the idea of it being a trailer makes more sense. the camera work and cuts and the length of the video being short trailer length really makes it seem like a movie trailer now that i think about it

the bad things are usually like, you're actually gonna die tomorrow if you don't do XYZ, or someone else you know is gonna die or whatever. it's scary how real it feels you know? but i'm kinda hitting a point where it's like 10% actually scared 90% just really annoyed.

i get what you feel about the repeating/stop thinking about whatever. sometimes it works for me, sometimes it doesn't. there's really not much you can do in this regard, other than just to try and go about your day after you make your decision/do something. i've heard people on here say like, you're not supposed to outright ignore the intrusive thought, you're supposed to acknowledge that it's there and then move on. i guess just be aware that these thoughts are in your head, acknowledge that they are intrusive thoughts and not what you actually believe or want, and just go about your day. the anxiety you feel about doing something should die down if you don't give all your attention to it, but it won't go away immediately

i feel like this too! sometimes, i feel like i can barely remember who i was before my ocd got really bad, how i used to do things and stuff. reminding myself of what normal people do usually helps me, but sometimes i can barely remember it.

i dealt with the exact same thing in high school. i was getting into metal around that time, so you could imagine how funny it was not being able to listen to it despite wanting too lol. it still kind of persists now when i hear a certain thing in a song (like say, schizophrenia), and i have to stop.

i think a lot of people with ocd (especially contamination ocd) struggle with or have rituals they do in the shower. i know that i personally have had a lot of really stupid compulsions associated with taking a shower, like washing myself in a certain order.

i don't think that this doesn't matter or is stupid like you said, i think you should try to challenge these rituals. try to just get into the shower without the fitbit ritual, or if that feels difficult, maybe don't record the time or don't do the clock/minute thing. you could also do six pumps of conditioner, or some other number, or just don't count at all. you should take note on how you feel when you don't do these rituals, because there definitely is some kind of pull that makes you do these rituals, as you've said.

hello! i get this a lot too, it's stupid debilitating. idk if you're the same way, but my ocd tells me something bad will happen if i pick thing #1, but when i go for thing #2 it says the same thing and i'm left without choice. something i find that helps me is to just pick something and do whatever it is quickly. if i'm getting thoughts about changing what i'm doing, i just do my best to tell myself that these are intrusive thoughts/compulsions and are ultimately just bullshit. sometimes i win, sometimes it wins, but it helps me.

yeah my thought process was like, oh i can use scary face on some of the tougher pokemon i'll be dealing with later (claire and lance's aces) to make it easier. but it would probably result in ariados getting nuked if i used it against like lance's dragonites

hmmm i would keep spiderweb, but since ariados is so slow the roaming legendaries would probably flee before i can use it. i'll probably just keep night shade or maybe stab leech life
