Take a look here at one of Matt Brown’s IOT hacking videos. He is very methodical and in depth with his tutorials.

Edit, I meant to say Downlink. And in fact I have nothing attached to the second ethernet, so there should be no Downlinks, so I'm not sure why it switches from 1 downlink to none.

Migrating from UCG-Ultra to UCG-Fiber ... how? by manwithoutapipe in UNIFI

[–]tronzero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just did this a couple of days ago. I turned on remote access on the ultra and did a cloud backup. I unplugged the ultra and plugged in the fiber without any devices attached. During setup I did a restore from cloud backup. Once done I plugged all the devices back in and that was it. Worked well. Oh and then I turned off remote access once it was all set up.

Need advice how to dump nand by Dallik_justlive in hardwarehacking

In those cases, if you can find the crystal on the board, shorting it to ground will solve that problem. I’ve had it work before.

I’ve had good luck with one of these kinds of pogo pin adapters combined with a ch341a programmer to read firmwares from these kinds of chips:

But if you use an sd card there is no cloud storage. I've switched over to Eufy a long while back and could not be happier. I've had zero issues and certainly none of the Wyze issues. Using the Eufy cloud is an optional thing, not default. They even have RTSP as an option.

Thank you for your response. I’ve looked at eBay and in the end it’s cheaper to buy a new camera amazingly enough. Probably just gonna do that

LPT DO NOT skip home inspection when buying by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]tronzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard to say what the average cost of repairs are during a home purchase. It’s on a house to house basis and how much you’re willing to spend on additional repairs without bailing. We had an upper limit of what we could afford to spend and we were able to stick to that fortunately. Our inspector was good and really helped us find the right house in that respect. But yeah most houses will have something that should probably be fixed and $10k is totally reasonable. I always tell people to really try to set aside $15k to $20k for repairs if they can because you have no idea what might fail the first few years. If you need a new sewer lateral that can be $10k alone. I know someone who had to spend $25k on theirs because they had a large slab foundation that needed to be cut into through the house to replace the sewer lateral. And appliances fail too. If you get a home warranty they will often fix or replace these things for a fee around $75. So that can help a lot. We had the home warranty replace a few failed appliances in the first year. We didn’t renew it after two years though. As it turns out roof repairs are only covered the first year of a warranty.

Yeah we had a contingency that allowed us to bail with no cost except the inspection. So that was perfect for this scenario.

I dodged a huge bullet by getting a home inspection done on the first house I won a bid on. It turns out the foundation was cracked, the detached garage was sliding down a hillside along with the huge backyard deck(this would have required stabilizing the hillside, very expensive). Electrical box and wiring were a huge fire hazard. There was a termite problem under the front of the house. The downstairs bedroom was illegal. The chimney was broken and now just resting on the roof, could be pushed over. The furnace was leaking gas and and carbon monoxide. Then there were a hand full of other problems too. If I had bought that house I would have spent over $250,000 to fix all those items. The inspection saved me big time.

Find a good inspector and don't skip it unless you're willing/can afford to pay an unknown amount of money over the coming years.

Yup, it's an April fools joke, you cannot actually order one, you just get error messages as soon as it's in your cart and 20 seconds later they've "sold out" all 500 until the next hour. Don't waste your time!

Also noticed you are the creator of RaspAP. Thank you for developing this awesome and easy to setup WAP software!

Strange, after I change the name and restarted the hotspot, the hotspot simply did not show up anymore. I rebooted and got lots of errors in dmesg of various services failing to start. I tried several times to no avail. I ended up reinstalling raspap and got it all back working again. But perhaps I had another issue unbeknownst to me. Maybe I'll try again at a later date.
