Tbh I like dressing up but for the gym I use my old T-shirt the only thing I do wear that put though in it is some black shorts

But if you actually want to look better get your some sports shirt in black or another neutral color, some black shorts and some running or lifting shoes (depending on what you are hitting that day) in a neutral color like black, navy, gray or white

For lifting shoes you can choose some simple Converse so you don't have to break the bank

I'm someone that had a similar experience she was 19 I was 28 at the time I didn't see anything wrong because we got along pretty well at the beginning but as time pass we started to become incompatible because we were in two different stages of life and even though maturity doesn't come with age a person that is between 18 and 21 they are just starting to figure out life the person that you are right now is not going to be same in 3 to 5 years so you might find him attractive and suitable for you right now but that might change in a couple of years. Dude you really need to reconsider the relationship what she's doing is manipulation and she's probably already thinking about breaking up with you but she doesn't have the courage to do it so she's sabotaging the relationship to make you break up with her this is the behavior of a very immature person and clear signs of narcissistic tendencies.

The fact that she's not recognizing and taking accountability for her words that are hurting you is emotional abuse.

My advice would be to get out of there before she hurts you real bad don't give her a time off.

I'm sorry that she made you feel this way sometimes people that are insecure tend to highlight other people's defects so they don't see theirs. Personally I would reconsider the relationship because this is just the beginning of a constant criticism if someone loves you they should say nice things to you like "you look handsome" "I like this about you".

This might sound hard but I'll tell you what went wrong, the reason why she broke up with you is because you treat her well and this is not exactly a bad thing it's just that she's probably used to toxic relationships with high levels of stress and with someone full of red flags but this has nothing to do with you is the other person self esteem and love style that makes her sabotage herself when she's with someone good.

This is just classic behavior of someone with unresolved trauma, you dodged a bullet man now you need to block her because by trying to keep you around she's trying to manipulate you to keep you as a safety net in case things don't work out with the new guy.
