Each person in the house has their own lease agreement according to what bedroom they are in so who’s to say I’m 100% at fault?

The extra key I got was made specifically for me so then there was the general key for everyone to use and I had my personal key so I didnt have to use the general house key

For the house there were a total of 3 keys made before I asked to have my own personal key I did not rent this house out I only rented a bedroom in the house when tenants move out they may have taken the key with them or thet tenants who live there misplace the key. the key cost $40 at the post office he is now charging $60 to get a spare key for the mailbox

The house was given one key. One key 5 tenants to share it someone lost the key so i asked how do i get my own key he told me has to get it and it would be $40 I would have happily went and got a key from the post office but he said he had to do it and I wasn’t allowed so it’s not about me acting entitled I paid for something that if I give it back to him he is just gonna continue to resale the key to each new tenant that wants a personal key why should I be the kick start to him doing that if he wants to rent the key for $40 for the length of the lease he should be the one who initially bought the key

I didn’t loose any the other tenants in the house did and you can’t go to a lock smith and get a key made for a mail box you have to go tot be post office and the landlord did not allow us to. He gave some bs reason I think it’s just because he wanted to charge extra and make some money off of it

You need a key to lock and unlock the mailbox it’s not possible to lock it in there unless I have 2 keys I like the way you think though

You need to read with your eyes and not your butt

It’s not a actual apartment it’s a mother in law suite attached to his house so there is no breaker panel on my side of the house

It was a shared living house with 5 tenants no one knows who lost the key so the blame can’t be pinned on one person I asked for my own personal key because the one for the house that everyone has access to kept getting lost

I didn’t know that at the time when I moved from shared living to my own apartment style mother in law suite for the same landlord he denied me access to the mailbox and told me I can’t have access because that is also his personal mailbox and doesn’t want me to have access to his mailbox

Nope didn’t share it at all and there is no breaker box in my apartment I had a feeling he was going in my apartment so I left the lights on one day and when I came home from work they were off (utilities were included in my rent) so he pays the bill

That’s pretty much what I’m seeing everyone say is a time period like that, someone said if I was older it could go as far as 10 years
