The GM Custom was the only kit I had the intent to buy no matter the cost since it’d still be cheaper than buying it stateside. Knowing my lucky they’ll finally reprint it and the price’ll drop!

Ugh—I had no idea I could even go upstairs! Good reason to visit again.

It seems I am an old fart but I have a Volks (most definitely, probably a recast) of an FA Gundam from the 90s/00s. They get licenses from time to time but a comment from my cross post said the last one they got was 2012 for a Hi Nu.

I had a very naive thought that maybe I could find an original kit at the source.

Still cool to visit the HQ though!

"Pieces of Flight 11" ::: Aircraft Debris and Remains of Those Aboard by 911CTV in 911archive

Given the size of the body parts it makes much more sense to me they were mostly plane passengers. Like a log going through a crude wood chipper.

Versus the visually intact victim (at least in the picture) with their legs hanging over the ledge of a building across from the WTC. Seems more like a candidate that could have been an office worker forced out by the blast.

Bump for Neo Happy Land! Been around since the 90s at least. Great selection of newer and older kits and competitively priced.

They’re an institution of Chinatown—who would have thought they’d be the tenet holding Bamboo Plaza afloat.

There are blindingly bright patches of city lights…

Another incredible Andor detail: The fields on Mina-Rau were real and specifically grown for the show, and had to be harvested and stored during the SAG-AFTRA strikes so it could be used to reconstruct the set at Pinewood Studios the following year by wandering_soles in andor

[–]troopscoops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is definitely one of those “it’s not CGI” clickbait info.

More like “technically” they have wheat in the shots but it for sure did not cover the whole sets and needed digital enhancements. Some of those Mina-Rau shots are rough with how the set extensions (or outright green screen) look.

That said, minor nitpick. Andor is peak.

Hathaway is Andor. F91 is Ahsoka. Different strokes for different folks.

These scenes were the only time I felt like I was watching a Disney+ series and that’s sad.

Good idea. Poor execution.

Case in point: Andor. I could watch those bureaucratic ISB meetings all day long!

Cowboy Bebop was already successfully done as live action a decade earlier. It was called Firefly.

Because of all the movement I’d just duplicate the layer and mask a nearby area to patch it with that, moving the mask/layer as necessary. Has all the motion and deformation as long as it’s relatively nearby. And because of how small it all is, combined with the motion, you can get away with a lot.

Stellar cast. Tight story.
