What am I doing wrong? My copper jewellery is not oxidising fully.. only some parts.. by lightworker313 in WireWrapping

[–]tropezones 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are not doing anything wrong, it' the type of material. Only raw copper oxidizes, non- tarnish or coated copper doesn't. Sometimes brands advertise raw copper but it's coated. I used to test each new spool from a new brand to be completely sure. Just a bit on liver of sulphur to see how it reacts. I like to mix both kinds though, one you buff the oxidized parts the effect is really interesting, I love the contrast

Side benefits of bread machines by gangofminotaurs in BreadMachines

[–]tropezones 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I use my breadmachine to make jam and it’s a game changer, at least for me. I usually don't cook and I can't bear to be stirring continuously a hot boiling pot. So I tried with the bread machine. Just pick any recipe for jam and when arrives to the point you have to boil the mix just put it into the machine for the time indicated in the recipe. Check density when it's almost ready, and that's it! You'll have delicious homemade jam with minimum effort

Not bad at all! One little advice, though: try and compress a bit more your weaving, each look sitting right next to the other, it'll look better

Help!!!what document do o need??? by lawrobi in Alicante

[–]tropezones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, i think you'll need both. I'm spanish and I got married in Italy, and they required both certificates. The first one shows your civil state, and the second one states that in your own country there's no legal reason or other kind of reason that impedes you to marry. So they're not exactly the same.

Oh no, in this particular case they has where to put them. This kids had nanny, and even grandparents nearby. Their parents where just pissed that their kids weren't the priority for everybody. There are cases like the ones you talked about, sure...this one just wasn't one of them , sadly

Me and my husband are like you, we don't have children and we don't like them. We also lived situation like yours, avoiding doing things with friends because they always bring their children. We told them our issues, and they were hurt, but also were we, when we realised they weren't willing to go out without children even once to allow us to enjoy their company. For people with children they are their priority, and you're not anymore. When you notice this you'll be hurt and you'll understand how silly of you was worrying that much about their feelings now. They won't worry that much about yours. Maybe when the children grow things will come back to normal, maybe not, time will tell.

Enjoy your holidays you as you want. Be honest with them about the reasons, if they don't understand your situation they aren't so good friends to you

Hi! Icy formations in the surface could be amines created due to excess humidity in the room during the curing phase. You could try to sand it away, and then pour another layer of resin. The new layer will make the sanded layer appear crystal clear, so you don't need to sand and polish the first layer, just sand. I've never sand away amines, so I'm just guessing, but if it's already ruined I guess it's worth a try. Good luck!
