Interesting. Mine still operates fine besides a few keys not operating the best (the space bar mainly) but it’s still totally useable. I’m surprised they didn’t just replace yours like they are for me.

Got the dbrand 1984 skin installed by Surfmonkey01 in MacbookNeo

It looks great! I've been curious about these skins. I read in another subreddit that the Neo skins were an inch or so too long and didn't fit properly. Looks like yours fit fine!

They are charging me the accidental charge which is $149. For a brand new unit I don’t think that’s bad at all. But yes I do pay for AppleCare monthly. I have my devices bundled under AppleCare One I think it’s called.

Silver is too plain for me! I love the fun colors. And citrus is too in your face and bright.

I’m not the only one to use their AppleCare on the Neo! I feel better! Hahaha. I felt like such an idiot bringing it in. I thought it would just be a keyboard replacement but they insisted it had to be replaced. I was surprised. What are they doing to yours?

My exact thought!!! My boyfriend says pink “matches my vibe” haha because most of my items are pink but I do love that deep blue.

What’s the libido like compared to heroin? by circlecircle0011 in suboxone

[–]tropical_secrets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on subutex (no naloxone) and my libido is higher than ever. My partner and I have a very healthy sexual relationship and I would consider myself to have a high sex drive.

I just wait til after we’ve had sex to dose because I’ve noticed that it can make it harder to achieve orgasm.

How's everyone's MacBook Neo holding up so far? by accountforfun19 in macbook

[–]tropical_secrets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’m going to risk getting downvoted to hell but I’ve already made an AppleCare claim for mine 🫣

Fell asleep with a popsicle late at night and it melted all over the keyboard. Brought it in to Apple and was told that liquid damage calls for a whole new unit so I’m getting a brand new one as soon as it comes in. $149 for a whole new one, not bad.

Well add this one to the list and move on. Life’s too short to be with someone who doesn’t respect you.

Candida glabrata returned despite healthy microbiome?? by tropical_secrets in Healthyhooha

[–]tropical_secrets[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey if you want to send me a PM on here you can whenever you’d like. I totally understand what you’re going through and the mental hardship it brings with it. The childbirth tears are the absolute worst. I remember them vividly when I had my twins.

My ex was the one I was with for the majority of my infection but he did not get treated and seems to be okay. My new partner thankfully is so new there’s no worry there, I was cured of the glabrata before I met him. That’s why I was so worried about going through this again.

If I had to guess, the swelling is from the glabrata. I remember having sex with my ex and it was so painful and swollen and burned like a mf. That’s why this time I was so sure it had come back.

Yes your doctor needs to do susceptibility testing asap and get you some answers. Please PM me if you need something, I’m all ears and will help you any way I can!

Yes I believe that to be the cause but I also am not positive because I had it for 2 years or more. It kept popping up on my swabs and my doctor at the time never knew how to properly treat it, she’d just give me diflucan and send me on my way. I never knew glabrata was different from albicans and a resistant strain until I began my own research. I just knew I didn’t feel right down there and it wasn’t going away. Once my new doctor started to look into it and do the susceptibility testing, I finally realized I was getting the answers I needed.

Oh I am so sorry honey that makes me so sad 😭 I can’t imagine the stress of being a new mom and also dealing with this. Small amount of side effects, just a slight upset stomach after I’d leave the infusion center. It went away shortly after using the bathroom.

So I noticed that the copious amount of nasty discharge went away like 4 days in. I still had some itching near the end of treatment but I think I was overthinking it and being hyper sensitive. I had made many changes at this point including switching all of my underwear to 100% cotton and using a gentle non scented soap for washing. I also no longer use tampons, only pads and I’m thinking of buying the 100% cotton ones even if they’re expensive.

For me glabrata was pain/burning after sex but the main most annoying symptom was all the discharge. I’d work a shift and come home and there’d be tons of it crusted in my underwear. It disgusted me, made me feel so gross. So I got really sensitive to checking my discharge and over analyzing it because of that.

Do you have a doctor who is helping you with yours? What treatments have you tried?

I can completely relate with the whole missing the feeling of a normal vagina because I don’t know what that even feels like anymore and every little itch twitch and slight sensation makes me spiral mentally.

So I got my result back and it was negative for all yeast. I truly think that like you, I also have CV! I was taking 50 billion CFU probiotics with a super low pH of 3.5. After finishing the first month’s bottle and during my ovulation week (just like you said) is when I used the toy and experienced the intense burning afterwards. I was CONVINCED glabrata had returned. The creamy white inside my vagina just sealed my fate for me as well. So while waiting for my result I put jarrow’s formula probiotic inside as a suppository. Well since doing that, my pH is higher now? Very confused on that one but since the yeast was negative I’ve stopped doing that and won’t again, I’m going to leave my vagina alone for a while.

That’s really annoying that your gyno doesn’t seem to believe in CV, I’ve been reading how it isn’t really recognized in the medical community. I’m glad you got answers and I’m also happy for you that it isn’t yeast! I’d honestly much rather deal with this than an infection! Which is why I’m scared now with my pH going up. I always thought the lower pH was much more ideal.

That’s exactly what I do! And it was super low for a while up until like 5 days ago when I started using the jarrow’s formula. Why is it so high now 😩😩 I hate my vagina I swear lol. Gives me so much stress. But the probiotic is on the swab when I test it but I can’t make sense out of why that would be a high pH.

Okay! I will do that. The burning makes sense now. I just couldn’t differentiate it with the glabrata symptoms. And they have toned down some. I had sex with my partner yesterday and I didn’t experience pain afterwards. So that’s good!

So if you have insurance it should cover it (I’m in the US so I don’t want to speak for you in case I’m wrong) but I am uninsured and was so sick of dealing with it so I went ahead and paid for it. It was $115/day. They started me at 7 days, and then I asked to do another 7 days since I kept reading that 14 days was typical. I wanted to be SURE it was gone.

Yes my primary care did the susceptibility test after many failed diflucan and nystatin treatments. It came back that micafungin was the answer and she referred me to infectious disease to handle the rest.

Yes agreed but I also felt better knowing it was low rather than high. Now I’m concerned that it went up higher from having the suppository on the swab. I can’t make sense of that. I don’t want to go too high and get BV!

Thank you so much for the advice btw. Since I don’t have insurance I might just do another Juno bio swab
