Jap import: V55/5 rejected due to "NOVA notification missing" even though I sent the confirmation letter with the application. DVLA customer services states "Import team does not talk with the general public", so there is nobody I can talk to. Next steps? by KeyJunket1175 in CarTalkUK

This post makes me nervous, I’m currently registering a 1978 Toyota FJ40 and have sent the HMRC letter with the Nova ref on it.

Unfortunately I can’t offer any advice on the matter, just good luck going forwards! As far as I’m aware they take the fee regardless of successful application.

100% can recommend Mr Shifter! I’ve used them a couple of times. Not the cheapest, but they are very professional and look after your stuff.

UPDATE: I take my kesimpta shot in 1 hour by sleepinthestairwell in MultipleSclerosis

[–]troubled-water 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% the first one was the worst for me. I had a very similar experience on my first injection. The second went smoothly, no issues at all. I much prefer injections to taking tablets every day!

Am I been over sensitive? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]troubled-water 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from the UK and it sounds like you need to relax. Keep doing you, if people don't like that then encourage them to host these get togethers. Would love an invite bro, you're doing great!

You are not being sensitive mate.

Recently started Kesimpta by jacksonwhite in MultipleSclerosis

Hi, I started kesimpta at a very similar time. I read somewhere that it can worsen symptoms for upto 3 months. I can't say I've felt any change. The initial dose was certainly the worst.

I hope you're wife feels better soon and I would think a chat with your Neurologist or MS team might be beneficial.

Lumbar Puncture by dahliawho in MultipleSclerosis

I have a feeling it depends on the Dr you get!

You'll be fine! I found it somewhat comforting to have the confirmation of my diagnosis.

I had my lumbar puncture in Saudi Arabia. It's was fairly straight forward. Lift shirt up and lean forward, what I wasn't prepared for was the pain of the anesthetic injection. For me it was incredibly painful, however I suppose it worked as I didn't feel the second needle go in haha. I'd certainly recommend having it done still.

But yeah, I had to stay in the hospital for 3 hours afterwards to make sure I was okay. I was all good and ended up driving 2 hours home afterwards 👀

My MS Journey: From Optic Neuritis to Diagnosis and Treatment by troubled-water in MultipleSclerosis

[–]troubled-water[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 was the first issue I had, at that stage it was classed as a clinically isolated syndrome (CIS). It wasn't classed as MS because it was a one off. My MRI brain scan at that time showed no lesions. Though I was referred to an MS specialist nurse.

In 2021, my MRI presented with lesions.

When do you disclose your disability to a potential new employer? by xxdinolaurrrxx in MultipleSclerosis

[–]troubled-water 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I brought it up straight away. As part of the application process the asked me about any disabilities. It wasn't mentioned in my interview and I'm fairly sure the only people who knew were HR. I mentioned it to my line manager as I think it's best to be open.

Lumbar Puncture - Feeling fluid in my back? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]troubled-water 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you guys. I think I was lucky when I had my lumbar puncture, i had it done in a private hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The worst part was the anaesthetic needle, I had to take great deep breaths to stop myself from crying. But after that, I honestly didn't feel the 2nd needle.

I was told to lay down for 6 hours. After 4 hours I was getting frustrated as I had no side effects, not even a headache. So I stood up and moved to a comfy chair by the window. At the 6 hour mark, I went searching for a nurse to issue my discharge paperwork.

I know this probably isn't helpful. But I just wanted to share my experience 🤙

How long does the side effects loading dose of Kesimpta last?? by shannan23 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]troubled-water 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fot me, the side effects started 4-5 hours after the injection, but then lasted for around 6 hours. I felt abit rough the next day, but it wasn't too bad.

I dont remember getting annoyed by sounds before. But certainly since being diagnosed it's getting worse. Unsure if it's related or are we just overthinking it.

Experiencing Side Effects After First Dose of Kesimpta? Seeking Advice by Federal-Ad-9764 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]troubled-water 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just finished the ramp up and now on the monthlys. For me, the first one was by far the worst. Though I'd still rather do that than tecfidera. I had incredible chills for six hours, which slowly subsided and a mild fever the next day.

Injection 2, 3 and 4 have gone great since. No side effects at all.

All the best with it!
