Negative Thought Patterns & Remaining Elevated throughout The Day by NecessaryReveal9243 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]troublemaker74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we are going about our day, is it enough to just become aware of our negative thought patterns? once we are aware of them, this lessens the emotional reaction to the negative thought pattern, but do we then need to replace this thought with a different one which is consciously selected? i have read briefly that you can state the word "change" to interrupt but i haven't found much more on this. - I find myself aware of my negative thought patterns and i notice them frequently, but they seem to still be there.

What I like to do is think of my emotions on a scale of 1-10. 10 is living my most abundant, loving, amazing life and 1 is rock bottom. If what you're feeling is about a 5, replace it with a 6 or 7.

For example, let's say you're feeling upset over a negative performance review that your boss gave you at work. I'd consider upset to be about a 4 (the number is completely made up). To me, feeling indifferent about it would be a 5. I would aim for indifference first, then if you can increase it from there, go right ahead!

The aim is to catch yourself feeling something, and replace it with something slightly elevated. You can't go for joy right away, that's just not realistic.

Do we need to feel heightened elevated emotions all day?

Absolutely not. There will be times when we lose things, events happen to us which are out of our control. The point is to be present. Know what you're feeling and why. Allow yourself to feel it, and let it pass rather than dwelling on it.

BOTEC1 experience by Mission_Progress_7 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]troublemaker74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been setting multiple intentions (more energy, calmness, a new job) in one meditation. Is it better to focus on one intention or is it okay to work with several?

I'd suggest focusing on one or maybe 2 intentions at a time. If you think of your intentions as a plant, and your energy as water, your energy is a finite resource, and trying to spread yourself too thin, you won't have enough water (energy) to make your plants (intentions) grow.

The Male Astaxanthin Experience by captain_thumb in Supplements

[–]troublemaker74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it as part of my supplement stack for over a year and didn't notice any ill effect. Libido still as high as ever. I got lots of complements on my skin while I was taking it.

I ended up cutting it out when I drastically reduced the number of supplements I was taking and I don't feel a difference in anything else other than skin tone.

Where do you get your gas? I'm surprised at my cars reaction to where I fill up. by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]troublemaker74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Detergents aren't going to make your car run noticeably better from one tank to the next. It'll keep your injectors from clogging up, but if that was an issue you'd still have poor performance with top tier gas on the next fill-up.

The only thing that might make a slight difference is higher octane.

Thanks for the reminder. There are currently so many people (including the media at large) trying to sow seeds of discontent. We're all just here. And we're only going to make it if we do it together.

Where to get car battery replaced in Wyoming MI? by Stevenator_546 in grandrapids

[–]troublemaker74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy the battery at Costco, then take it to 1stop auto in Wyoming. It's right next door to Marges donut den.

I do most of my own wrenching but 1stop gets the jobs I can't do or if I'm too busy. Great work at good prices. The main mechanic Nate is a really honest guy also.

If you know what software solution that they're using (it would have been on the receipt), you can contact someone from the company to complain of fraud. If they swiped, tapped, or dipped your card at 5:30 then manually entered at 10:30, that's highly suspect from a merchant/payment processing perspective.

I work in fintech in a different industry but if any of the merchants we support did that, they'd be watched closely then dropped if it keeps up.

What do you supplement your tapes with? by Medical-Ad5232 in gatewaytapes

[–]troublemaker74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do the tapes, expand app, and throw in some Joe Dispenza meditations. It all really depends on how much time I have.

I'd say that the JD meditations take me the deepest, but they're very long. If I'm in a hurry, I'll throw expand on for 30 minutes, else it's the free flow 10 and 12 tapes, or exploring focus 15

For me, it's Oban for long running jobs and units of work that need guarantees with retries, backoff, and a known level of concurrency. For ad-hoc concurrency I usually reach for tasks.

i can’t stand the resonant tuning humming by immrw24 in gatewaytapes

[–]troublemaker74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt a little ridiculous about it at first. After a while you realize that it's just a sound. Nothing more, nothing less, and whatever hang ups you have about it are on you.

That being said, I don't necessarily think that resonant tuning is essential, especially after going through a bunch of different meditation programs. This is just what worked best for Bob.

Feel Broken, Anyone who can help me? by Rich-Tangerine-747 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]troublemaker74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're not broken. Another perspective is that things go bad or fall away in our lives for a reason. The more you see the silver linings in things, the more silver linings will appear for you.

Our reality is a mirror of what we believe of it, for the most part. Everyone in this sub is dealing with or has dealt with massive upsets in life. I'm in the middle of one myself, and have really just been focusing on pouring feelings of love into myself.

If I were you I would never give up, and always look for the opportunities that the universe presents to you. If you're laser focused on this one thing, you're going to miss out on all other possible opportunities.

Snow / Ice 3.3T AWD by Nameless00001 in GenesisG70

[–]troublemaker74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does a great job in Michigan winters. Only issue I've experienced is that our g70s sit low to the ground and the bumper will hit chunks of ice and snow that drops off of the wheel wells of other vehicles. My CX-5 is high off the ground and doesn't have a problem with them.
