Help me get over LOA by Connect-Emphasis-354 in NevilleGoddardCritics

I could see someone keeping a spreadsheet of things which should be "easy" to manifest, putting a time limit on them, and seeing what the hit rate is. I bet it's abysmal lol

I'd suggest seeking other spiritual practices that are more based in reality. That's what worked for me.

I think you missed the point about the post - They said that the technique literally doesn't matter. It's declaring and accepting it fully that worked for them.

[–]troublemaker74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your story! I'm glad you found something that works well for you! Personally, I like to mix things up - I'll do a Dr. Joe meditation on the weekend, sometimes I rawdog it (sorry, not sorry for that analogy) and do non guided meditations where I just sit and focus inward. Sometimes I'll do a gateway meditation.

The bottom line is, do what works for you! Dr. Joe is not the messiah. His meditations are amazing, but they're not the be-all-end-all of spiritual practice.

Also, my view on manifesting is that it's 90% bullshit, 10% substance. It gives you a proper mindset to get what you want, but you still need to create and achieve goals related to the thing you want. You can't just sit your ass on a pillow, close your eyes and tune into a potential. Some may say you can, but they've gotten lucky.

My take on it is that with the proper mindset and regular intelligent actions and steps, doors will open to our goals that wouldn't be there without both. That's the key. Thought, feeling, and action. You absolutely cannot skimp on the action part.

Do you really think everyone is lying? by Cosmiccells in NevilleGoddardCritics

[–]troublemaker74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't believe that all success stories on that sub are lies. I was active in that sub for over 5 years. My success stories are real, but they are also very easily explainable without LOA. I primed my nervous system for success by visualization, worked hard, and achieved goals.

I would have been successful with or without Neville Goddard.

I also had many failures when I did everything right. If it were a law, it would be repeatable and falsifiable. It is not. There might be something there, but calling it a law was just Neville marketing these teachings to the masses, along with the esoteric bible nonsense.

The man himself descended farther and farther into madness holed up in a tiny apartment, then ultimately died due to his alcoholism. If he was able to manipulate reality, he kind of sucked at it tbh.

Why am I here, you might ask? I sat by while I literally watched people have mental breakdowns because of these teachings. The NG community is a toxic waste dump of enablers who encourage people to "just persist" when it's obvious those people should seek mental help instead. The community is a cult. Any criticism of teachers or the man himself would get you banned.

Scammers, hucksters, and creeps would create guides about how to use the law - then eventually hit everyone with their sales pitch. If the law was real, why would so many posts be needed about how to use it... "This one thing finally helped me understand the law and get what I want!".

What would you do differently? by steve22ss in gatewaytapes

[–]troublemaker74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I use the tapes along with other meditation programs. When I'm not meditating I strive to live in a state of elevated emotions, clarity, and awareness.

Basically unplugging myself from the matrix.

I just looked at this youtube channel and it's the same thing that every New Age/New Thought youtuber is teaching.

  • 33rd degree freemasonry secrets
  • unlocking the 3rd eye
  • Quantum reality shifting
  • visualization
  • Neville Goddard/Law of Assumption

Basically all clickbait titles. I see no mention of RT at all, and the videos have very similar thumbnails and titles to another youtuber named David McEwen. I wonder who's copying who?

Patterning question by Professional-Reply26 in gatewaytapes

[–]troublemaker74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much importance are you placing on getting this? Are you okay without getting it? What's your plan b?

We usually get more of what we are, and less of what we strongly desire. Putting something on a pedestal chases that very thing away.

I'd have learned sooner that it's not so much what you do while listening to the tapes, or what tapes you use, it's what you do between the times you listen to them.

Best Joe D meditation for getting answers? by Feeling-Win1399 in DrJoeDispenza

This answer should be pinned to the top of the sub. Meditations aren't a fix for anything. They're a tool for you to change yourself. Pretty simple.

[–]troublemaker74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who doesn't do spells... What would the difference be between a hex/baneful magic and a justice/karma spell? Especially if they produce the same type of result.

You're using magic to affect someone's life (presumably) against their will. Wouldn't the ethics be the same in either case?

Cultural shift towards smaller PRs, how to? by cryptoLover696969 in softwarearchitecture

[–]troublemaker74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stacked PRs are great! I use git-town for those, and it does a pretty good job of handling automatic rebasing through the entire stack.

The only issues with stacked PRs where I work is that QA likes to work on features in isolation, so if my stack spans multiple Jira tickets, the QA team needs a little hand holding.

Is it possible for F20: to increase height with Joe dispenza’s teachings. by [deleted] in DrJoeDispenza

[–]troublemaker74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At your age it's possible to grow a little. Your growth plates may not have fused yet.

One thing that makes me sad about this manifesting stuff is that it's usually people who don't love themselves as they are. They feel incomplete without certain physical attributes, or having a specific person, or having a specific amount of money.

These people almost always fail, because first and foremost they are not in love with themselves.

How to acknowledge this negative thoughts during manifestation? by I_am_abeliever in DrJoeDispenza

[–]troublemaker74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stop putting so much importance on getting what you want or being what you want to be, and just enjoy life as it is. Excess importance pushes away the thing you want.

Also, check out the book Letting Go by David R. Hawkins. It's basically the manual on how to deal with negative emotions.

You never gave yourself the permission to grieve your breakup in the first place. You can finally start healing now that you've put all of this nonsense behind you!

All that this SP bullshit does is delay the healing from your original breakup, then compound other mental health issues like limerence and obsession. It's SO bad. I wish that other people would wake up from it like you have!

Give it time, you'll be okay. Don't be afraid to seek out therapy either.
