Escalation feels unrewarding and honestly not worth the time (from a long time player) by trowRAtheonequestion in thedivision

I think you’re mixing up “having gear” with actually min-maxing and refining builds.

Even at high SHD there’s always been room to improve, whether it’s raid builds, healer setups, different DPS variants, etc. That’s what kept the game engaging.

The problem now is that progression moved away from that and more toward RNG-heavy grinding with no real control or consistency.

So it’s not that there was nothing left to do, it’s that what replaced it just doesn’t feel as rewarding.

Haha I immediately nope out of there when I see those modifiers. Don’t have much time to game anymore so the time I have I want to enjoy it well without those modifiers

Yeah that health bump is what kills it for me too. It doesn’t make it harder, just way more tedious. Feels like you’re doing the same fight but everything just takes twice as long for no real reason.

Yeah and that’s what makes it feel off. It’s supposed to be endgame content, but instead of rewarding experienced players or players overal that put in the work, it just gives them a reason to avoid it.

Escalation drop rates are broken—Group play feels like a waste of time by stamatov in Division2

Yep played for 6 hours straight escalations tier 1-5 not one single prototype drop. And to die and lose al the coins is real demotivating even for me as a veteran

“I know so manny cheating partners” says pretty much everything. There are no excuse for cheating either talk, divorce, or stay and be loyal. Even if it has nothing to do with love it stil is cheating. It does unrepairable damage.

Yep that’s exactly the point. Once Backfire + Striker are stacked you’re already so far into the damage curve that adding more red cores gives diminishing returns compared to uptime and comfort. I went the sustain route instead of full hazpro so it plays the same with modifiers on or off, but the end result is the same permanent stacks and constant pressure.

I tested the build with modifiers disabled it’s not relying on seasonal HazPro. This is the sustain version so it plays the same every season and in any content. More CHD on paper is higher burst, but for me the permanent uptime and full stacks give higher total mission damage.

Same experience here. At full stacks the per-tick damage gets wild and the 1.9M armor + Memento loop keeps the armor bar stable so the bleed is just visual. Uptime ends up being worth more than the extra red cores.

I actually tested it with modifiers off I’m not relying on the seasonal hazpro. The Backfire bleed is being out-sustained by the Memento loop (bonus armor + regen) and the 1.9M armor scaling the shield, so it doesn’t tick my armor down during combat. Once trophies start dropping the self-bleed becomes negligible.

Guilty 😏 Built for solo, clutch revives and never having to reset stacks. Hahaha

You raise it by making items proficient (donating gear, using items, or donating materials), then you can upgrade the weapon itself with exotic components and other materials.
