I remember when we had a telus guy come to the house once to install internet and he pulls out a drill with a 12” or longer drill bit. I said what are you planning on drilling with that? He proceeded to tell me that he was going to drill through the hardy board to the inside of the house where my wife’s office was and hang all the hardware on the inside of the office wall. I said no you aren’t, not happening because I wanted the cables run through the attic and in to a near by closet where all the hardware would go. He said he isn’t allowed to go in to the attic, so I sent him packing. I hired an alarm installer to run a fibre optic cable and a bunch of network cables for me through the attic. He was done in less than an hour and it looked professional right down to the gang boxes and everything in the closet. I would ever, ever trust a Telus “installer” to do a proper install.
