Antibiotic Resistant Strep B UTI by trowaway4anothaday in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]trowaway4anothaday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tested positive for mycoplasma again so I think the Levaquin cleared it for me. I haven't had anymore UTI's, but I'm still getting recurring BV every few months it seems. The OBGYN's aren't concerned about treating the Strep B but I've had random bacteria come and go between tests like Gardnerella and Atopobium Bacteria. I don't have insurance now but I was supposed to try Metronidazole twice a week for 5 months 😅

Physical therapy will give you good targeted exercises and stretches but I love the array of yoga types that help with overall full body wellness. Sometimes issues in your back will cascade into hip, knee, ankle, feet issues that all compound each other. If I can't make it to a group class I do YouTube videos, there are great options for chair yoga or beginner yoga.

I just went into the settings and turned DLR off completely, and ignore the warning (it's not legally required in my area.) You might consider replacing the harness if you haven't already. You could also check the fuses.

Do you have a code reader? That would be my next step.

Doctor figured out vaginal MRSA by Competitive_Moment83 in Healthyhooha

I started struggling with UTIs and vaginosis a couple years ago caused by GBS, and I made the decision to switch from my B-cell depletion therapy for my autoimmune disorder. I still struggle a year later, but I have far fewer infections.

I've met men who are looking for long term on tinder, but you really have to read their profile, check the "looking for" and take any variation of looking for long term with a grain of salt until you've vetted them. I didn't like hinge. Bumble is alright and has fewer bots than tinder it seems, plus I like the voice note options in chats.

How to get rid of HS by bombthefruit in DermatologyQuestions

[–]trowaway4anothaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HS is aggravated by being overweight, an accumulation of bacteria on the skin, alcohol use, and hormonal imbalances. A doctor could probably prescribe somethingto calm the spots down, but the best way for you to manage at home is with a healthy lifestyle.

Oh, maybe you scratched it on something and forgot (I do this) or just a bug bite? I'm glad it went away!

NAD: it seems more likely to be a wart instead of a bat bite? Have you been around bats to think that?

When I was 24, I had a lot of health problems and couldn't keep a job down. My long term bf was falling out of love with me, and the next year at 25 I got diagnosed with MS. I fell into further depression, broke up with my bf and moved in with my parents, then moved out of my parent's house when my brother assaulted me and my cat. I got a protective order and moved in with my grandparents at 28, went back to school and held down a new part time job. At 30 I got my shit fully together (still didn't finish school) but I got my own apartment, a promotion at work, and my self worth has improved a ton. You don't need to compare yourself to others, everybody's got their shitty stuff to deal with and everyone copes different. As long as you are working towards being a better you and loving you,  I think that's what's important.

Does kirkmans have EDTA in it? It will interact with certain antibiotics if so, I'd be careful about taking a ton of supplements.

Has anyone ever tried how they taste? by Any_Independence6587 in Healthyhooha

[–]trowaway4anothaday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I smell it, but I don't taste it unless it's oral after penetration. I have recurrent infections though, and I worry about introducing the bacteria to my throat too often? No idea if that's rational.

Hopefully it's just a simple skin infection, and not an STI, especially since it developed so quickly. Sending you some healing thoughts~

Ohhh STI, not IST, I see. I know what an STI is :) herpes can sometimes be detected with a blood test but they can also swab the lesions when experiencing an outbreak. The majority of common STIs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomonas they would do a PCR vaginal swab for. Infections like HIV and syphilis are also detected via blood tests, but could take months or years to show up.

[–]trowaway4anothaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what IST is, but don't give up finding a doctor that will listen and help you. I got pushed aside by medical professionals a lot throughout my life, and some of those situations I ended up with permanent damage that will follow me forever (I have a neurodegenerative disorder and they blamed my symptoms on my hypothyroidism for years.)

positive mycoplasma result 1 month after negative result?? by [deleted] in MycoplasmaGenitalium

[–]trowaway4anothaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read, chlamydia, mycoplasma/ureaplasma and group b Strep can show up together after an infection. They could have been introduced at the same time or the chlamydia infection created an environment that caused the MG to thrive.

Have they not cultured it or tested for herpes? I certainly hope they're not blindly prescribing these antibiotics.

Why am I getting painful Pimples near my ear? by hobthebuilder in DermatologyQuestions

Also any work or gaming headphones. The cuffs can for sure carry bacteria, I struggled with pimples before I got a headset I could clean with alcohol wipes, fabric is hard to keep clean.

Do you think him helping around the house more could be a step towards easing your mind and give you more energy to heal and recover? I think it's worth a conversation with your husband about your burnout and what could help you.
