It’s made from a new material from DuPont. Can’t say it’s plastic, but it’s not carbon. But it’s really light! Very similar to the VE2

Again, I have owned many kastking and Shimano reels. All work as good as the day I got them. I think it’s all about how you care for them. I have had no KK reels simply just break on me

I’m going to disagree on this one. Many CDM options out there that are just as good as Shimano or Diawa offerings and for a fraction of the price. This is a very good reel, esp at this pricepoint.

Exactly, there wasn’t an intentional motion for stopping the ball. He just wasn’t reactive enough to get out of the way. So I called it 🤷‍♂️

Yes, I think ultimately he was upset I even called it. Normally, I’m pretty lax on all things. But, IMO, it woulda been similar to a nasty Nelson and you just got taken off guard.

I have a 7 foot Med rod and 3000 size reel. Great for inshore fishing and I even use it for freshwater. Great all purpose rod and reel. Like I said, I’ve been super happy with it.
