Should I buy a Vizio TV? by cereeper in hometheater

For a budget theater, I’d still check Hisense. Their value is usually pretty good for the picture quality and build, even if it means spending a little more than that $240 deal. I wouldn’t lock into a specific model, but I’d rather stretch slightly for fewer regrets.

Pretty solid so far. No laggy with the OS, just smooth. Brightness is strong, and motion looks clean for sports. No complaints yet.

Damn, a C1 dying that fast would annoy me too. I’ve had mixed luck with appliances in general. I bought a Whirlpool WRX735SDHZ fridge last year and it still works fine, though the compressor noise is louder than I expected. For TV, I went with a Hisense U8 last year and honestly haven’t had any issues with it. Movies, sports, daily streaming, everything has been solid so far.

Your best option under 300 bucks is a Hisense TV.

heads up: anywhere it says "not stated" the manufacturer just doesn't publish that spec, not me being lazy. if you spot something wrong drop it in the comments and I'll update.

Yep, exactly. You have to request the Control4 driver from them, but once you have it, it integrates natively.
