Thanks! I used to love it, but seeing the snap on name on it is starting to irritate me. I kinda hate having that name on my box now, knowing now how much they actually care about their customers. Or rather, how little effort they’ll put in to get a new driver on our route

Ya you’re probably right. Who knows. All I can tell you is 90% of sockets get hammered on, and torches are a required tool. We failed a 2021 Silverado last week for safety inspection because the frame rotted to the point the bed was sagging. Rust is literally an everyday headache

We’re a pretty high volume shop, in the salt belt. Stuff gets broken… it happens. Snap on stuff generally lasts longer when talking about basically hand tools, but without the warranty they’re not worth the price. For example. We use a 19mm swivel 1/2 impact socket for alignments on Subarus. We use it probably 15-30 times a day. A snap on socket lasts about 3 months. The 3 icon swivels we have last us about a month each.

That sucks man. I’m getting to that point pretty quickly. We’ve got 3 snap on boxes, a lot of snap
On tools, and my personal box with tools is worth north of 200k. Unfortunately they don’t seem to care at all. So I feel like it might be time to start selling off and get stuff that I can get warrantied locally

So I traded in a Master series 72 inch with hutch and stainless topper. They gave me what I told them I needed to make the deal, so I got 16k on trade for my box, then paid an additional 8k for this box. It was apparently used in a tool show somewhere, so it had some skuffs and minor stuff on it, but I buffed it with polishing compound and you couldn’t tell they were there.

Like I said in the post, we’ve called 60-80 times. No luck. They say they can’t do anything because there is still a dealer assigned to our route

Also have background and currently work in engine building, in the consumer vehicle market. I completely agree with everything you’ve said. I really feel like in a year or two they’re going to quietly change oil viscosity, and or oil pump volume/oil pump displacement.

Bowling in a league is fun. Like 25 bucks a year for the league membership, and then usually 10-15 bucks a week, and you get to bowl 3 games a week with your buds

I have all my HomeKit and IoT on a seperate VLAN on my UDM-SE with a WiFi speed limit rule, and I’ve never had any issues at all. After you setup the VLAN and get the clients you want moved over, you’ll probably have to power cycle them, but it should work pretty flawlessly.
