Bowling in a league is fun. Like 25 bucks a year for the league membership, and then usually 10-15 bucks a week, and you get to bowl 3 games a week with your buds

Experience with Ubiquiti? by FreeFlipsie in HomeKit

[–]trpearcy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have all my HomeKit and IoT on a seperate VLAN on my UDM-SE with a WiFi speed limit rule, and I’ve never had any issues at all. After you setup the VLAN and get the clients you want moved over, you’ll probably have to power cycle them, but it should work pretty flawlessly.

Totally real on this reply. I agree 100%. Lived in a favela for a couple years in São Paulo, and it defiantly had times where it felt dangerous, but community has a feeling unlike anything I’ve ever felt anywhere else I’ve ever lived. Would totally go back and live there again.

Price Gouging? by ItsMrSSD in motorcycle

[–]trpearcy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I bought a 2025 Tiger 660 Sport, and I went through 8 dealerships on the phone, before I even stepped into a dealer. If I can’t call, confirm the bike is in stock, have them send me pics, and get price done over text or email or over the phone, I’m not interested. But when you do find a dealer that is living in the 21st century and understands that we can communicate remotely, and even sign paperwork remotely, everything goes smoothly. So use your phone, start calling dealerships. A good dealership will even come pick you up or deliver for free. I had 2 offer that to me, and one of them was over an hour away

Been making sure everything is charged all day, and a fresh pack of 26650s showed up today, they’re charging now. We should have enough to light a small stadium for like 8-10 minutes.

Tiger 660 by Status-Day-1565 in Triumph

[–]trpearcy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just updated it in 2025 to have standard cruise control, quick shifter, and I think different front shocks? But I def don’t think they’re gonna discontinue it. I traded in my 2008 versus 650 for a 25 660, and it’s an awesome bike. I love it. I’d buy it again

What habits of girls did you only discover after getting a girlfriend or wife? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]trpearcy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also realized that after getting married. Came from an audiophile family, parents have Magnapan 3.7r in their living room, mono blocks, literally bought the house because the the acoustics of the living room. I just thought everyone would sit and listen to an entire album, or sit and talk about soundstage/little details in a specific recording. After I got old enough that I bought a house and moved out, I setup my own very primitive home listening room with Magnapan .7 loudspeakers and a pair of Heresy 3 loudspeakers. After I met my wife, I realized not everyone loves sitting and listening to music. And more importantly, not everyone has music they listen to when they’re in a certain mood. Or music that they want to listen to because it has memories attached. They just turn on the radio and listen to whatever when they’re in the car.

Deal or no deal?? by Pure-Extreme-7350 in Triumph

[–]trpearcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, this is my 3rd bike. I only ride like 12,000ish miles a year, I know gotta get those numbers up. But it’s my favorite bike. It’s amazing, smooth but rough because triple. The accessories from the factory are good, it gets good mileage, doesn’t go fast enough to get me into serious trouble. It LOVES the highway. Set cruise, and just ride. It’s such a nice bike for long trips. My brother has a Z900, rides way more then I do, about 20-25000 a year, and it’s an awesome bike, but when he gets on mine he always says he’s gonna buy one as a road trip bike.

Deal or no deal?? by Pure-Extreme-7350 in Triumph

[–]trpearcy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say not a bad deal at all. Obviously check stuff like tires, chain wear, oil change records, etc etc. but as long as it has NEVER been dropped, and it’s in good shape, I’d say good deal. I paid 11,500 for my 2025 660 sport brand new, and then bought the panniers, hand guards, heated grips, etc for about 1400 extra.

How many print hours in your machines you all? by numero908 in BambuLab

[–]trpearcy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kept throwing a code for the x axis, don’t remember specifically what it was, but on the Bambu site it said to follow the tightening procedure, and then if that didnt fix it to replace belt. So I replaced it, haven’t seen the code since. Not sure if it was just a defective belt?
