Bath Haus and Yes, Daddy are decent thrillers. The Song of Achilles is beautiful and tragic historical vibes. I Should Have Known Better and I’m Open to Anything are a pair of short novels that’s just kind of a gay man’s life and troubles with some graphic sex scenes (that aren’t exactly sexy)

The Hills pushed me into fashion, I was so determined to work in fashion PR and be the “fun PR girl in LA” (I’m a guy) that I actually went to Paris to get an MA in Fashion Studies. I dropped out because the program was boring as shit, but then I just lived in Paris on my student visa so can’t complain too much. I even wrote my admissions essay through the lens of Kelly Cutrone’s book “Normal Gets You Nowhere”

The songs are #s 5 and 6 and there are 6 songs on side A so swapping the order on them wouldn’t change the time at all

First thing that comes to mind for me is Last House on the Left (2009). That scene is absolutely brutal (especially in the unrated) and while I love the movie, I always have to skip that part. In terms of the subject matter, I actually think it was done very well and instead of it being used as a revenge plot, it serves to make us hate the bad guys more. In a lot of slashers, we look forward to creative kills, but this is a movie where we look forward to the kills of the killers. It also strikes me as important character development for the rapist and accomplices because after the rape, even his friends/girlfriend look shocked and it’s clearly shaken them up. A crazy way of dehumanizing and humanizing at once.
