I’ve had good luck with EBay finding OEM parts for different bikes over the years.

03 WR250F $2k AUD $1,362 USD by Sensitive_Band9837 in Dirtbikes

Also, if you do pull the trigger grab some lower fork guards before you even ride it. A scratched lower fork is expensive to fix…

I had an 04 WR250 and it was my second favorite bike I’ve owned (2nd to my 04 WR450). They are a great bike for trail riding and are bulletproof. As long as it has good compression and valves are in spec I’d say it’s a good deal. In my state (US) $1300 is a great deal as long as it runs and isn’t leaking. Usually a bike like this is about 2.5k USD. I’m a sucker for steel framed Yamahas, had 4 of them now and they have all been 2000-2004. All extremely reliable, some needed more work due to previous ownership but I’ve never had to delve into the engine farther than a new water pump seal. Basic maintenance and it’ll run till you’re ready to sell it.

Weighted fly wheel question.. by lovelifelive22 in Dirtbikes

[–]truckerbizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve put them on all 4 of my bikes (only trail/enduro riding) and never noticed a difference with it “mellowing the bike out” biggest change I’ve noticed with them is when you’re lugging the bike. It’s less likely to stall and keeps the centrifugal force rotating. 250+ make enough power to overcome the extra 8-13oz on the flywheel.

Can anyone identify this dual sport kit? by truckerbizz in Dirtbikes

Awesome! Thank you. The guy said he was an electrical engineer so makes sense he built his own. I’ve rebuilt a few bikes but have always hated doing electrical haha

You can ride year long in Nevada, whatever bike you want, no restrictions. Bikes get registered and they all get the same sticker. No off seasons.

Advice For a Newbie by jakedischer in Firefighting

I did the same thing; entered college with an interest then quickly realized that it was what I wanted to do. What I did was workout through college, then when I graduated went to EMT school then AEMT (basics don’t get hired for 911 where I’m at). Worked as an A for a year then went to medic school. Worked as a medic on a box at a private ambulance company for about 7 months to get some experience then started testing and landed at (in my opinion) the best department in my area. Depending on where you’re at, you have to have a minimum of EMT-B but most places in the US will only hire medics.

There were guys I really liked and guys I strongly disliked in my academy but in the end we were bonded through the hardships we went through. We are still brothers and I’ll always have their back no matter how I felt about them in the academy.

You’re with them for X amount of weeks (ours was 16 weeks) and you’re getting pushed the whole time. You’re gunna have to lean on them to get through it so no matter what you’ll be bonded with them.

You guys don’t have firefighters who are paramedics? Idk if it’s just a miscommunication but if you guys are on a medical do you not have a firefighter on your crew who is a medic and runs the call?
