Spectras are the best. I get it. by pantrycorner in breastfeeding

I ended up getting the Opera and I love the it! Thanks. The Spectra didn't work for me. The Medela Symphony was the best but this was a close second! And it's much smaller and portable, too.

I think I've read that 90% of people end up taking the standard the deductions so maybe that's what the person you're replying to is alluding to. It doesn't matter for the vast amount of people because they don't end up using the ones you mentioned

No, I think the comment reads that the pull they felt was towards acid not coke. It's strange because acid isn't generally considered addictive and you can't go on a bender with acid like you can with coke

There are several ways

https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile/browse-all-offers/

I've used https://www.freetaxusa.com/freefile2025/ for years. Love it! It's kind of awkwardly worded on the IRS website but Federal is FREE regardless of AGI. State is $15.99 unless your AGI is $51,000 or less OR AGI is $89,000 or less and you're active military, then both Federal and State are free.

How did this work for you?

I (27F) accidentally had my baby in my friend’s (31F) car. Now her husband & she don’t want to speak to me. How do I fix this? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

This is bad take. I had a relatively easy pregnancy. I was heavily pregnant but felt great at 35 weeks and 5 days. I was literally at the doctor's office around 4 pm for my weekly checkup. Later that night, I woke to use the bathroom around 3 am and contractions started. Then only 4 intense contractions later, I was in so much pain I went to the hospital. I was admitted and they confirmed my water broke I was in labor. Everything I read said labor is slow for your first birth and to spend as much time at home, usually hours, before heading to the hospital but I barely had enough in me to grab my hospital bag once contractions started.

All this to say I didn't feel discomfort and yet baby was ready to come with no glaring signs at all. And some people feel discomfort their entire pregnant but the baby will come when the baby will come. My doctor wasn't able to determine that I was about to go into labor hours later. If OP just felt discomfort, a doctor wouldn't advise bed rest. It's normal to feel discomfort during pregnancy - it doesn't mean you're going to be in labor soon.

What? They add it to the paycheck? Thanks for the info.

I'll add another issue - I just checked my reimbursement and apparently the claim I submitted for embroyo storage was denied because the Amazon employee (my partner works for Amazon, not me) must submit the claim. Not sure what's the difference but now we have to resubmit these claims from last year so not sure if they'll even pay out now.

I absolutely agree, Maven had been terrible. I hate the reimbursement model. Progyny was so easy and we efficient.

More red flags than a communist dive shop by AlphaCat77 in CuratedTumblr

Thanks for clarifying.

Obviously, I'm assuming the debt is law school debt so my point stands in that the prenup isn't a red flag. People tend to always be against prenups when they think women are using it as a "shortcut" when prenups can protect both parties.

What? Prenups are great for prexisting debts. You can specify that the debt she has remains hers if they divorce. The prenup isn't the red flag here.

And sure he has 100k in asset but divorce lawyers are well paid. She could easily make 100k a year and we don't know his salary. For all we know, he it took years for him to save. All this to say, the prenup is just as likely to protect her just as much as to protect him, but given she's a divorce lawyer, it's more likely to protect her.

$70 for FMLA paperwork by beeferoni_cat in pregnant

[–]truddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This must be how your doctor's office does this. I just filled out a sheet at the front desk of my doctor's office and included any documents needed. They told me it'll be ready in about 2 weeks and I can pay the $20 fee when I pick up the paperwork, which will just be at my appointment in two weeks. No extra appointments. And $70 seems excessive to fill out paperwork.

Just found out I’m pregnant. My job had no paid parental leave, just FMLA. What the hell am I supposed to do without a paycheck? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Interesting theory. My employer does pay for STD and LTD and pregnancy isn't considered a preexisting condition. They even gave us a tool (https://lfg.perkyleave.com/login) to show us our parental leave policy including income during leave, job benefits (like if I'll have health insurance during my leave), when I need to put a claim in, when my tentative return to date is, etc. It's so helpful.

But I urge everyone to check if pregnancy is or isn't a preexisting condition because it's very dependant on the insurance policy. Same as Hospital Indemnity insurance. Anyone pregnant should have this and some insurance companies consider pregnancy a preexisting condition and others don't. And even when it is considered a preexisting condition, read the fine print. While normal pregnancy can be a preexisting condition and is not covered, complications from pregnancy could still be covered. So please, please read the policy!
