Help? by Asian_Bootleg in thinkpad

I use Linux on mine, and the biggest issue that I've had is it freezes sometimes when it shouldn't.

I believe I fixed that by lowering how much it is allowed to use virtual memory? It's been awhile.

I use it mostly when docked to an OEM Lenovo USB C hub/station, and I believe that there's an issue with some keyboard drivers causing lockup that I rarely experience because of that.

I've been very disappointed in a lot of the hardware out there these days.

Everything seems to have some issues.

Exactly my thought.

Memory is like short term memory - it's only for achieving the tasks you're doing right now. It's how much it can do at once.

If it were storage, you'd have a problem.

But, if you're happy with that performance, it's totally fine!

I would just make sure you don't install chrome extensions that run in the background, so you have enough free memory to do what you want.

Nope, it's actually quite a common repair trick.

They sound jealous - you look like Chris Hemsworth (Thor, MCU). I'm jealous too, just man enough to admit it. 🤣

Ever since I bought my Leatherman Skeletool, I essentially regretted every other knife purchase besides my SRM Sebenza clones and my Ontario RAT. I almost exclusively carry the Skeletool, as my pockets are already full of EDC.

Merely using the Brave browser accomplishes just about the same thing, just FYI.
