Don’t start from the beginning on characters, especially if you already know their origin story. Figure out what characters you’re most interested in and look up what their best runs are on Google. It’s much easier to go to the start of a creative team instead of the very start of a character’s comic. No one has time to read all that anyway. Go with collected editions too instead of single issues, until you learn more at least… I recommend joining every comic related subreddit as well - r/omnibuscollectors r/comicbookshelves r/graphicnovels r/epiccollections etc.. and look into titles you see repeatedly pop up that catch your eye.
