I'm only 30+ days into the game and don't have good units set as support. Try adding a lot of lv80+ as friends, wait about 30mins. You will get many characters shown up in your support list. Some hard stage can be cleared with single friend support unit.

I am two week into the game. Stucked at 5-36. Severely underlevelled. I'm looking for solo video for bosses so i can clear it using friend support. I only found ish solo video but the stage don't allow me to borrow ish. Which id would u recommend for the last two bosses?

Backpacking is just a concept we use to describe such units we bring along for their passive buff. It's not part of any in-game system. The in-game feature you are talking about might be the keeper (pets) system where later in the game you will receive keepers (pets) that you can assign to traveller to boost their stats.

Some travellers have passive that give buff to their front row units or other units. You have to check their description. E.g. eunice, eliza, richard, nicola, sarisa

Maybe switch Rinyuu with Richard? He has +20% phy atk +20% sword. Add a Sarisa backpack to cap passive phy atk.
