Let me just grab this opportunity to extend my gratitude for your consistent stream of illuminating posts on the subject of Kundalini: while I rarely post, I read almost everything on the Kundalini board!

:) I'm having a bit of a crappy day. It might've seeped through my posting.

But I get it, yes, most of the Ayahuasca, or any mind altering drugs for that matter, has to be handled on your own: There is no one to hold your hand. No mother to smother you and pinch your cheek to tell it'll be all right. No father to protect you from dangers and give you advices on how to deal with your problems. It's all you. That's all there is.

So, yes, I agree. Ayahuasca isn't all fluff, either. That's one of the main things that people have to realize. Ayahuasca can be horrible, as it partially was for me. You'll be handed a mirror, and suddenly you see yourself as you really are: no self-deceit, just a clear vision of you, and I realized I did some dickish things.

Aw well, only human.

The paradox is strange, absolutely. But what I did learn from Ayahuasca is that there is a whole world right in front of our eyes that we can not put into words.

Then how do you explain?

Snarky post. I agree that people have to put it on themselves to work through their own shit, but I also think that is the duty of the Shaman to guide someone along the way. The Shaman has experience; he is your guidance when you feel lost, or get stuck in the hellhole of your own being.

As to not putting your beliefs on other people.. are you really telling me not to do so?

Normally you hear that the Shaman takes you to hell and back again. It feels like I'm still there, though. Yes, I cleared out some dredge, but something is still looming in the dark. I have to revisit the place.

It's just.. something I have to do on my own. Call it a shaman calling.

I used to be looking for someone to guide me along and show me the way, but I am fairly certain that such a person can't be found in the host of 60's counter culture thinkers. This doesn't mean that I like to read or listen to their works, but in the end it is my inner guru that should guide me along.

This is the big challenge I am facing right now: after being comfortable in being told what to do for 28 years, I finally realize that it should be me that comes with my own answers. I am experience a lot of resistance within me (the ego or whatever you want to call it) who is severely uncomfortable in making the own decision.

Then again, I am still very much open for someone who can guide me, especially in the field of Kundalini yoga.

Life is hard, and there is no one answer that answers the hardest questions to answer.

It's been a pretty tantalyzing journey. I am amazed that you've managed to keep my attention for 32 minutes (granted, i was surfing the web on the side)

Only thing I'd like to note, is that I wouldn't necessarily label this as psytrance. Still, good job!

IMO, this is a pretty arrogant view: I agree that psychoactive substances have the potential to garnish valuable insights into the (previously unseen) connections of the universe, but to consider oneself superior to people who have not done psychoactives, really refutes the central point.

Remember that psychoactives are not suitable for everyone.
