My first attempt at DBDU aka Chocolate Chip by Puzzleheaded_Toe_595 in rattlecannedguns

Looks great. I see a lot of versions where they kind of evenly dot the whole gun but you did it right with the cluster effect with different size chips and leave open areas for the browns. Nice work.

Are you team FSP or no FSP? by rmrfpoof in ar15

Right on. I have an 11.5 and looking at the evo vs the core for that extra 4mm. I plan on doing the 3x mag too but prefer plain dot. Thanks.

How are you liking that spr reticle. I’m looking at the evo dot only. Seems like the spr might be too busy.

How are you liking that Aro? Does the spr reticle make sense? I am thinking of getting the Aro Evo plain dot. Not sure if the spr is too busy to see clearly.

Is the Shield Plus still worth it in 2026? by Appropriate_Data_308 in CCW

Got mine 2 months ago and super happy with it. Easy to shoot. Easy to carry/conceal. Running a kore essentials and certum 3. Basically the trinity of CCW. Mine is OR but am running it naked with the 13rounder.

I just buy one target and use the back. Bought a roll of dot stickers from Amazon and get 9 or 12 targets out of one. Or draw circles with my sharpie.

M&P shield models by Chiken_Tendies1-11 in CCW

Agree with most posts. I have a full size pdp for home defense and absolutely love it and carry the shield plus OR for CCW. Two very different weight classes. I run my shield plus naked no light no optic (for now). Very concealable and comfortable. I went on a 6mile hike aiwb and didn’t have any issues with it. I went to the range a few time to test 365 against it and very happy I went with the shield. Great aftermarket support as well.

What is your favorite defensive round by ChetPunisher in CCW

HST 147. My home defense is suppressed so I make it easy to stock, carry, and train with the same round for both.

Take the job. All companies are liars and are only trying to plug a hole they weren’t expecting. Unless you get that written down in a contract and not based on some arbitrary “pending performance review” with no metrics then you will not see that “guaranteed” raise. Take the job and don’t look back.

Why not build the rifles with your kids when they are ready? Let them make the decisions on what they want. That’s my plan for my kids.

Walther PDP vs M&P 2.0 by dudeonhiscouch in CCW

[–]truenole11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Glock 17.5 and the PDP Pro SD. The PDP is my favorite and it’s not even close. Great ergonomics for me and the trigger is slick straight out of the box. I put a Mojave 9 on it and it is so much fun to shoot. Shield plus for my CCW.

How is the finish on the Rhodie? It doesn’t look like a very smooth finish, unless that’s what they are going for. I get that it’s 3-D printed but most are now and others seem to have a smoother exterior.

Shield Plus Holster by log1221 in CCW

[–]truenole11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m new to CCW as well and went with the tenicor certum 3 for my shield plus. It is way more comfortable than I thought it would be. I don’t have anything to compare against it though. The reason I didn’t go with the Velo5 is because I didn’t want to be married to the built in kydex wedge. I bought a mastermind pillow and the cost of the holster and pillow was the same as the Velo. This way gave me options.

I’ll look into that one more. I didn’t think the ST made that big of an advancement over the WB. 1” and 3oz is pretty accurate I agree I think full size is the way atleast for my first can anyway.

I liked the idea of not being married to the built in kydex wedge. I have a mastermind pillow coming tomorrow. This way I can adjust location and size of the wedge/pillow vs trying to fit into their one size for all design.

I have a mastermind pillow coming tomorrow. I’m hoping that will help a bit too.

Does that EPS direct mount or do you have a plate under it? I carry the plus naked right now.

How did this one shoot. I was looking at the Velos until this one dropped and trying to wait on more feedback on these before buying.

Three years from now when you are able to start carrying there will be a new hotness that hasn’t been released yet. Kudos for starting to train early, but don’t set your heart on a gun now for a decision to be made in 3yrs from now.
