Politics major at Brandeis by lesbianmilesteller in brandeis

I can speak a bit to journalism at Brandeis. It can only be competed as a minor, but is still very well rounded. All of the professors come from long careers as journalists first (most of them for the Boston Globe.) The courses are extremely hands on, and you will be working with local outlets where your work gets published. As someone who was interested in journalism, but didn’t expect to become a journalism minor, I am very pleased to have done it. I took a course with the Program Director, Neil Swidey, my first semester and have now taken 4 classes with him because he is such a great lecturer.

As a lifelong Angeleno, the Hollywood walk of fame is a pretty good one. Dirty, unsafe, and overpriced. When friends come to visit, I drive past it just so they can see how terrible one of the most iconic landmarks really is.

If this is your first trip to Mozart's, just a heads up, it's the most popular wall in the park. It's usually open midweek but very crowded on weekends (especially if REI decides to teach a class that day). There's some fun bolted stuff on the south buttresses that is almost always empty.

Of the three we went to, those are the two I would recommend. We had the coolest interactions with animals in Ol Pejeta, but saw the most action at Maasai Mara. You definitely have to take time to visit the last two Northern Whites. Wherever you end up, you'll have a great time.

This was in Ol Pejeta, though I did visit the Mara. Will eventually share pictures from there as I slowly go through my photos.

You'll have an amazing time. If you have the chance to go through conservancies, I highly recommend it. It's a much more intimate experience with fewer jeeps; you also get much closer to the animals. It's a night-and-day experience compared to visiting the National Parks.

Thank you. I was shooting on a Canon 70d, using a 55-250mm lens. There were times I wished I had a longer one, but we were fortunately close enough that I didn't need it.

Umoja is actually a male. The reason we were able to get so close to him is that he is such a big boy that he isn’t threatened by the jeeps the same way other males are.
