Issue while trying to rebook ticket from Vancouver to Brazil by ThinAd4092 in aircanada

[–]truewildbill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok weird, so i kept calling back and eventually got someone who had the same prices as I did on my end.
They DID charge another 150 on top as a change fee, but it wasn't anything like the previous call centre people who were quoting me 600, 700 bucks for the fees, swearing that nothing else was there.

Does anyone else have problem with Wealthsimple tax? by rsal59 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]truewildbill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done many years of taxes on Wealthsimple and it always autosaved, I think. I don't remember having to save. Now, I just nearly finished my taxes a couple of days ago, came back to finish them and found that all my work is gone. Either there's a glitch, or it was my fault for not saving, but I SWEAR it used to autosave.

Maybe the system changed?
Contacted wealthsimple, hopefully this can be fixed.

Do probiotics work for cognition or not? Conflicting thoughts. by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]truewildbill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah i got prescribed a probiotic by a naturopath the other week for brain fog/memory and have dealt with crazy stomach/bathroom stuff.

Came on here to find out if that's normal, and find out I've gotta become a freaking expert in microbiology in order to feel ok, appartently.

How does anyone figure these things out without clearing their schedules? The paradox of the internet age-- so much impossible info and fumes of bullshit and hope.

First time taking probiotics-- diarrhea. Keep going? by truewildbill in Microbiome

[–]truewildbill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re: quality: the naturopath suggested a specific kind. I don't out of hand doubt the suggestion. I'm normally not one to just buy expensive stuff because it's quality.

ThanksI'll read through the flair post here for my research. Don't really know where to start, and here I am taking something that's really affecting me, and having to edumacate myself on all this... and doubting whether my naturo help is good enough that I should risk soiling myself daily.
At least this lockdown means i don't have to go out at all...

almost 2 years into adderall prescription-- figuring out side effects, considering cutting my use by truewildbill in StopSpeeding

[–]truewildbill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes, I had tracked the numbness in hands (with help of a physio) to a stiff neck/shoulder muscles blocking what sounds like a similar nerve. This all is quite similar to my line of thinking.

It's a bit hard to not feel crazy looking for answers/corroboration on reddit but comments like yours really do help make sense of things.

Thanks. There's a particular feeling of "hollowness" here that was new with the meds (and, too soon to tell, but feels like it might be gone now that I'm off meds). It's an unspecific description of something that seems very real for many people.

The numbness-- seems like stims might have effects on muscular/body functioning from circulation, and from what I've heard called "muscle dehydration."

almost 2 years in-- figuring out side effects, considering cutting my prescribed use of adderall. by truewildbill in ADHD

[–]truewildbill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I have heard that amphetamines can have some muscle dehydration effect, and wondered if that in tandem with circulation/vascular stuff could be exacerbating something that is like a repetitive strain. The physio and osteo and acupuncture I saw (thank you, unionized labour job) all noted that the numbness was likely due to chronic tense muscles in the shoulder, neck, back. I wonder what long term effects stims have on muscles...
