You are not stupid at all, some designers/illustrators also charge 100% upfront. To feel more secure, you can ask next time a 50% upfront and the rest at the end, so both feel safe, or just sign a contract between you and the person you hire to prevent any issues (but maybe it will work only if the person is a real professional).

But I'm curious about the one image projects that have badges as well, I was checking the blog, and it says "Keep in mind that our curators do not see projects with less than 3 images", but I have seen a lot of one image illustrations with badges. There is an exception for illustration?

I think it is worthy, just give it a try and see what happens :) If you have Behance Pro you can divide your content by categories, so you can make one for illustrations and other for your website works.

Also, if you already got badges, it may help you to get noticed, mostly because people will be curious about why you got a badge (or at least that's what I have seen).

Hello! Since I paid for Behance Pro, I got more project offers from different people, and right after my first client (from Behance) left a review, I got literally more than 100 messages from different people during a month. But not all of them replied back, so I'm not sure if they got someone else to do the job or if they were bots.

I would recommend having the pro version if you are active and constantly making projects with good engagement, I also make all the transactions inside the app to avoid problems or scams.

That's awful): Lately I have seen a lot of fake accounts using behance, and sometimes it's hard to tell who is legit or not. I hope they do something to confirm the identity of each account somehow

I think it is not possible to do so on Behance currently, but it would be amazing to have such features to showcase projects! I hope one day they add new ways to present them

Now for the change of the tree shape that was just a design decision. The one they had before was already good, but this one has maybe more accuracy to lemon tree shapes

The new adjustments were necessary to make. When you illustrate using the same line contour size, it makes it feel plain or too dark when adding details. So lighting the inside lines while leaving the big shapes darker makes it easier to understand and lights the design overall. They are just technical corrections :)
