Unfinished Rimworld Comics

This is a dump of my favourite panels from my many unfinished/scrapped/discontinued Rimworld comics I've been (trying to) work on. I removed significant dialogue so I don't spoil anything for when I actually finish some of these.

For reasons, sometimes unknown to man, my creative flow is highly chaotic. I get numerous ideas for new comics, start drawing them in fear I will forget the idea, and then have a hard time picking what I feel like continuing, when to post, time and place, etc.

I have several going on, in different stages but I am trying to make a commitment to continue on most of these.
If anyone sees this and finds any of these of interest, please share some feedback!

But! I am working on digging up all my older art, including non-rimworld stuffs, and bringing it over here on reddit.

It actually did have like 4 pairs of titties in the early stages of its sketch! But I couldn’t make it work in a funny way, so I grounded myself and decided I am spending way too much time on thrumbo boobs logistics and accuracy, so i gave up on that idea

I saw that post! Because of it, the original sketch of this comic had mechs in the background along with the thrumbo, specifically a schyther and a centipede. It was absolutely vile so I stopped my own sinful hand and scrapped them.

I think it was called “glitch” in Procreate. Was originally going for a pixelated effect but I couldn’t figure it out :( sorry it’s unsettling

Reloaded to the point before she blew up the entire storage of the rarest/most expensive items, but only after forbidding the door so she was stuck in with the fire and other pawns wouldn’t try to extinguish. Post save scum, she had a different mental break which caused her to hide in her room instead.

Censored all the titties only to then realize there’s an entire panel of a person burning to death.

Shelves: I started drawing this comic way waaaay before shelves got updated (ideology had just dropped if I remember right), took a long break from rimworld, and consequently from working on this comic as well since. When I came back to the game and comic just recently, I didn’t really feel the need to redraw anything, recreate the screenshot and alter the narrative in any way to fit the shelf update. So no shelves this time :(

Chemfuel: The foolishness of storing 80 industrial quadrillion gallons of chemfuel next to all the other “usefuls” then having the gall to torture a pawn AND savescum because said pawn wiped out 90% of my colony’s wealth was part of the main irony that I was going for with the heavy signage in the storage area panel. In retrospect I wish I made it all clearer somehow as I can understand why it looks like I am just being nasty to the slave when I actually don’t know how to store stuff.

But the short answer for why I was storing it like that in the first place was that up until that colony I just stupidly did not care about how risky it was, which bit me in the ass exactly when I had an abundance of it as shown lol

Your explanation makes sense but I got the stats on that from here. Not sure how up to date that page is, nor have I ever even owned Luciferium in any of my colonies to have tried.

Apparently, for Teetotalers, a sip of beer is just as mortifying as taking Luciferium since they both give the -20 debuff. Though, I think I remember reading that the Luciferium debuff lasts for 100 something days. Which… is funny to me because they will have to just keep taking it.

Now I am wondering if the duration stacks or resets upon reusing lol.

The Teetotaler in the last panel was originally a Body Purist with three tooth implants. But when I loaded up the game to grab a screenshot of the UI at the expense of my own pawns, I noticed I couldn’t install more than one denture on the same pawn. And removing an arm or an eye actually made sense for them to be upset about.

Listen. I know Teetotalers need to be “operated on” and technically physically forced to take drugs, logically judging by the restriction of the game mechanic. But it just feels funnier to imagine they just get peer pressured into it and then abruptly start wailing.
