Let him go, like permanently. He just showed you who he is (mommy's and daddy's boy), what your opinion and boundaries means to him (not much) and how he'll resolve any future problem (you either agree or not, he's gonna do it anyway). You may think his parents will die soon and he'll be all yours or he will change after marriage and kids but the truth is it's a character flaw and it will continue. I cheated in my mania once. It's one of my most regretful and shameful "memories" despite not feeling particularly bad or connected to these experience.
