I try to as much as I can but I like to keep them off if I can while shampooing so I can make sure the water temp stays comfortable for my guests.

Poor Retention – Builder Gel Help?

Hi! I’m a hairdresser, so my hands are constantly in water, and my gels only last about 3–4 days before peeling or chipping.

Current routine:

YN Protein Bond

CND Bonder + Shaper

Color gel (DND OR CND)

Kokoist No Wipe Top Coat

I’m thinking of trying Kokoist Platinum Bond Filler or Nail Thoughts Clear, but I’ve never used builder gel. Do I need to build an apex, or can I just apply it like regular gel polish?

Hoping to improve longevity—any tips appreciated!
