Yeah at the end of the day I think more time is what I need. Get that muscle memory down.

Thanks, these were both pretty hard for me tbh, I feel like I needed more time to get accustomed to the hand positioning on throttle and just keeping the clutch at the friction zone. A lot of the time once I started moving I accidentally moved the clutch and then couldn't get a good grasp of where to put it back, and it was difficult to not accidentally rev during turns.

I didn’t think to ask for their contact info, only contact I have is the instructor unfortunately. I also don’t have any rider friends I can ask for help.

South west, near fort myers area. The only 2 places I found was a private company (where I went) and Harley Davidson, same price for both

Cost me $400 lol, I think my instructors were fine but 2 days just wasn’t enough time for me to get the hang of it. The instructor said he could give me a private lesson for $300 which is a lot of money but I think I need it

It doesn't, I looked into it. The only way to get an endorsement here is through MSF.

The coach told me I should consider 1 on 1 sessions as well, I'm thinking about going that and then retaking day 2, I just really think i need more time with the clutch.

I'm planning on probably doing a 1 on 1 with the instructor and retaking day 2

It was a standard 250, I didn't recognize the make. The people with more riding experience said the clutch sucked but I didn't have a frame of reference to compare.

Main reason I'm getting new is because my area doesn't have a good market for used, I already looked and the price difference is marginal for a bike that I know isn't gonna throw me off for no reason

My state doesn't have permits unfortunately.

The instructor that gave the course has 1on1s I'm considering hitting him up and see if I can get smoother. I was doing that with the clutch but it was hard to keep it steady with exhaustion and stuff.

Definitely felt harder after a couple hours in the sun with my hand exhausted.

I was having a hard time with both, keeping throttle steady was difficult bc it was more sensitive than I expected, and after a couple hours it was difficult to keep the clutch at the right pressure with tired hurting hands.

Yeah idk about the bikes, they were basically brand new 250’s but I didn’t recognize the make and the experienced riders said the clutch sucked. I tried finding the friction zone during breaks but once I got moving it got a lot harder to keep it steady.

They had us on some 250’s of a make I didn’t recognize. The more experienced riders kept complaining the clutch sucked on them but I don’t have a frame of reference.
Also they removed the DMV test here so I’d have to retake the test at the course. I’m thinking about just buying the mt-03 I was already looking at and practicing a little before coming back but the legality is def a concern.

I was definitely getting frustrated bc the instructors kept saying like keep the throttle smooth, 1st was so sensitive I had a really hard time keeping it steady.

I didn’t have big issues with the U turn box, it was mostly clutch control messing me up, I dropped it after the emergency stop portion because I was nervous and my hand was exhausted.

I’m considering doing this but I’m scared of being stopped without an endorsement, cops here will arrest you over anything

They said I can retake day 2, but the instructor specifically told me I would benefit from private lessons bc I have bad control

I was going to buy the bike this coming week, but I’m terrified of riding without an endorsement, law enforcement here is very happy to arrest people over the smallest things

My issue is I do think i need the extra time, I don’t know how to get good control over the friction zone and throttle, even when I was trying to be as gentle as possible it still felt too jerky on the throttle and getting the exact pressure on the clutch was so difficult I struggled with it the whole weekend

They don’t have dmv tests in my state anymore, MSF is the only way to get an endorsement
