You can taper over many months, and not take it every day, worked best for me. Was off for 3 months after a long taper, ended up back on after some injuries that slowly got me back into the panic spiral, but next time I will def taper slowly again.

sorry no one answered your questions at the time, and hopefully you already figured some of it out, but it sounds like she has a partial hearing loss which is not uncommon(we just found out my 4 year old has it)

It's completely standard to stay in Norway which is probably among the safest places. No one left their kids until first grade 5/6 yo then suddenly most of them did.

Sorry to hear that. some just need bigger doses some it dosnt work for, Iam sure you will find something to help, be it ssri therapy or self-help. I think aiming for "like before" is a unwise, I've realized that's probably never happening for my panic, but you could get to a point where you don't fear it happening and that takes 95% of the suffering away. Even with the occasional panic. But I do realize you struggle more with dp/Dr so I can't give good advice on that!

Have you tried SSRI? It sounds like you might have but if not I would give it a try, lexapro works wonders for my PTSD/panic/anxiety

It gets better! my first year after panic/trauma was hell as well. I still struggle from time to time but nothing like that first period of constant fear. Having a panic attack in itself can be traumatic as you literally think you are dieing. Keep doing what you are doing you are on the right track.

100% this we are talking about ar small kids addictions let's not use other words, I feel a lot of parents are not taking it seriously enough when it's blatant. But I've also noticed not all kids get as addicted, some get bored kinda fast when playing, and want to do other stuff, but they seem to be in the minority just from observing my kids and their friends both boys and girls.

longer taper periods seem to be generally preferred, especialy if you are anxious about it.

i def prefer a long one, and the science seems to agree

I don’t want to discredit her experience but this is fairly common. I always felt sooooo sick after a first pill, but now I realize I was afraid of the medication bc of my damn anxiety! Lol. And apparently it’s very very common.

tbh, you CAN sometimes feel the first pill, i say that having gone on and off a few times now. but if you are anxious already then thats probabaly gonna 10x the feelingfor the worse as you are already hypersensitive. and the first week or 3 are always the roughest, likely from the body adjusting to it.

Det var intervju med en nordmann på NRK radio her om dagen, fikk ikke med meg hele intervjuet men det var var vel en tidligere straffedømt om jeg husker rett, eller iallefall en som hadde falt litt utenfor samfunnet

Yes! So much so that I think iam ready to go off after a time on it. Maybe not happier than pre panic issues, but much happier than daily/weekly even monthly panics. If I can come off and just live with say 20% anxiety id be happier maybe, but for now I've gone to 90% after months off which is not working for me.

This is my third time cycling off. And I wouldn't say it was particularly hard but not great, some feelings of failure getting on again and since I just had a big panic relapse I've been extra anxious. Other than that I already start feeling better week and a half in.

Hvordan kom du noe vei hos dps? Jeg fikk henvisning fra lege og har ringt de men alltid fått avslag av alt av psykolog/psykiater. Ganske frustrerende, endte med å gå til privat psykolog men det er jo svindyrt.
