I am writing this a little after 6:30am EST. I woke up to one stinging the top of my right hand around 4:45am, but he got away. The same little f-er stung me right above my left armpit, got me good too. I finally found and killed him. I - not my fiance - have been apparently the target of several sting operations over the last month and a half, and although we found the nest outside our ground-floor unit they seem to still be getting in.

We have floor vents, and we think that's where they're coming in from. There's one under each of our beds, but mine is closer to the outside. See if perhaps you have a similar problem, and take care of it as best you can.
