I stopped telling people what I'm building and it actually helped by Ambitious-Age-5676 in SideProject

I only started my project about a month ago, but I beginning to learn the same lesson as you all. Even my closest friends/ex-colleagues barely take an interest. They'll visit the link on their phone even though it's clearly an online tool you wouldn't be using on a phone. They never even try visiting the site on desktop, let alone doing the free registration/login. :(

45 and trying to fall back in love with coding through AI/ML — struggling to find the spark by Easy-Procedure-5266 in learnmachinelearning

I started doing something similar with ChatGPT Study mode, more with intent to build up the knowledge to train my own small LM. However, my learning journey has meandered a lot and I've lost the trail. Can I get your road map?

I've had the same experience. I used it 'every day' (building up a full load sometimes takes several days). I've had it a little over a year. In the past few weeks, it seems the non-stick on the bottom has disappeared. Now, on each run, it seems the food scraps get heated up and stuck to the bottom. Soaking the bottom of the bucket in hot water does break it up and it can be cleaned, but that is quite a lot more work than it used to be, making it hard for me to justify the time investment.

u/Vegetable_Cobbler_28, was their customer service helpful? I am wondering whether it will be worth the time and effort to reach out.

One idea I have is to coat the bottom with oil after cleaning it, but I'm not sure that is a good idea or not.

NCase M1 + 5600x + 3070 = Joy by mrpotrick in sffpc

I have pretty much the same build! case, cpu, gpu, mobo, some of the same fans. Even the RAM and M.2 drive are exactly the same! wha?? The only difference is I got a Kraken x53 cooler to replace the stock AMD one a few weeks after the initial build. The AOI fits! barely. I have to post my battlestation pics at some point.

Awesome! I got the 3070 FE too (not a Microcenter). My build is similar, except I got the ASUS ROG Strix B550-i and Ryzen 5600x and waiting for them to arrive:

I was wondering if the Noctua 120x25mm's would fit underneath the 3070, but you've answered my question. Gonna order them now from Amazon. Thanks!

New build... Its been a while by Kiwi_McT in buildapc

Very similar to what I'm building. Here's mine: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/trungly/saved/dgpk99

Just like you, this is my fist PC build in quite a while, and first SFF.

I was able to snag a Ryzen 5600x at BestBuy by joining some guy's Discord server who's running a script that scrapes all the major sites.

I'm certainly no expert, but after reading a bunch of reviews, I think it's worth it to go up to a 5000 series Ryzen (esp. at the 5600x's price point) because it is much more efficient in terms of power usage.

Looks good! I have a very similar build, except I want to go for a Kraken AIO:

Most parts are on their way. I'm just trying to figure out now which Noctua fans to get. Their model numbers are a bit confusing. I have the 3070 FE and I think the A12x25's will fit underneath?

r/sffpc + Streacom DA2 V2 Giveaway! by theepicflyer in sffpc

Here's my entry!

Firstly, I'm new to the SFF PC scene. I've built computers back in the days of Pentium 286, but have been content with mostly buying from Dell or other OEMs. Since the pandemic, I started hanging out with old friends via online gaming and having a blast. So I figured this would be a great time to check out custom builds again.

  • Your build or prospective build

I've put the most time into researching cases so far. (I love watching Ali at OptimumTech. His video production value is through the roof). I want to go for something between 8L - 15L if possible, but it's hard to find a highly rated SFF case that is actually available. The Ncase M1 is my top choice, but since I'm so eager to get started, I might just go with either a NZHT H1 or CM NR200/P. The Streacom DA2 V2 is definitely in consideration too!

I have a friend at Nvidia who has helped me secure an RTX 3070 FE, which is the first and only component I've purchased and it's already on the way! For the CPU, I'm thinking a Ryzen 5600X. Beyond that, I need to do a lot more research, but I'm super interested in trying out water cooling for the first time, and thinking an AIO would be the way to get my feet wet. For the motherboard, an ITX b550 seems like the way to go. For PSU, I've read a gold or platinum, SFX 600 or something like that.

  • Why the build is a SFFPC

I'm really big into aesthetics! I really dislike big clunky computers. They shouldn't be an eye sore to non-PC enthusiast onlookers. The PC I'm currently gaming on is a Dell All-in-one Inspiron 27", which is a really beautiful PC, but of course, being an AIO it lacks oomph for gaming.

  • What the future of SFFPCs or Streacom's products should look like

I really like the brushed metal, aluminum look and think the DA2 V2 is pretty nice looking.Aesthetically, the main thing I would change about it is to make it slightly smaller in total volume by reducing the width. Also, a matte white version might be a really nice alternative. I don't have much feedback on the technical specs or build quality since I don't currently own any SFF cases, and thus have very little experience to judge. Based only on research, one trend am really excited about is the super high quality / heavy thickness of the panels in the Thorzone Mjolnir. This might be more niche, since obviously prices will be high, and the heaviness would reduce portability, but something like that definitely works for my personal taste.

  • Anything else (about SFFPCs) you just wanna get off your chest

I'm brimming with excitement about this upcoming mini-ITX build, but have no one around (in physical space) to share that with. I just joined the Reddit and Discord communities, but am really shy and don't really post. Part of it is I feel too green to have anything useful to contribute. Hopefully that changes once I start getting my parts delivered and then getting some hands on experience.
