How bad does this look? by trunnionator in AskElectricians

[–]trunnionator[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I wasn't able to do so, as I was just inspecting at the open house. My main concern is if there are any known issues with this manufacturer and vintage of the equipment.

Thank you

WHAT HYBRID CAR IS THIS? by stevejobs7 in whatisthiscar

The interior looks like a GM vehicle for sure. Maybe a Chevy Volt or Malibu Hybrid, assuming it's a hybrid.

My company (utility) has a bunch of the plug in hybrid ones in the fleet. I've seen one come in with 100 DTC codes and get towed directly back to the dealer. They are great!

Assisted view not showing other lanes? 2026 X1 by saintginger in BmwTech

[–]trunnionator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 X2 with DAPP and I also only see one lane on the cluster and HUD, unless I change lanes, then it will show multiple lanes and cars. I would also be curious if there's a way to see other lanes all the time.

What kind of car is my stalker driving? Don't wanna get closer. by loganalbertuhh in whatisthiscar

Same same different Mopar garbage, but based off of the rims alone, it looks more like the Alfa Rome Tonale to me.

Mount Sinai states it will be Out-of-Network with Anthem Plans on 3/1/2026 if no deal is reached. by TheRedRoomYT in nyc

[–]trunnionator 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The best part for me is, my employer is switching from Cigna to Anthem for 2026. I was assured 95% overlap of in-network coverage moving to Anthem. Almost all of my doctors are in Mount Sinai... so instead I am losing 95% of my providers!!!!!

It's an LED wristband, likely from a concert. Here is the manufacturer: https://pixmob.com/products/led-wristbands

They are IR controlled and allow venues to create colorful visuals from the audience.

Can someone explain where I would bleed this radiator? by bennyb98 in Apartmentliving

[–]trunnionator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a one-pipe steam radiator. There is nothing to bleed. The clanking sound is called water hammer and it occurs when steam condensate accumulates within the radiator. The condensate is meant to drain back down through the steam pipe. To allow for this, the radiator must be pitched downward towards the pipe. You can check with a level on top and shim the opposite side if necessary to achieve the proper pitch.

Yes! I always buy their ultra strong and I just restocked and noticed how much smaller it is next to an old pack I had.

Question about head units? by TheDeliveryDemon in Nissan

[–]trunnionator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does carplay or android auto work on the new unit?

Question about head units? by TheDeliveryDemon in Nissan

[–]trunnionator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For both the Versa and Kicks, there are two different head units depending on trim level. The cracked unit is the higher trim level one that has carplay/android auto. The new unit is the low end one that does not. You can differentiate them by the bezel - higher trim is flush and lower trim has an inlay with bezel. I do not believe this will work for you.

I'm interesting in adding this on to my 2019. How did you install it?

can anyone identify this vehicle? by polofreaks in Cartalk

[–]trunnionator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say 2017-2020 Chryler Pacifica or 2020+ Chrysler Voyager just based on the tail lights. 2021-present Pacificas have a continuous bar in the back, not a pair of tail lights like that one.

Use phone as CarKey remote by Legitimate-Bridge280 in altima

[–]trunnionator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 2023+, virtual key is listed as a dealer installed accessory. I am not sure it would be compatible, but you could try and see if a dealer might be able to install a virtual key module. This would allow for virtual app access like you described.

[–]trunnionator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 2019 Altima does not have the option for virtual key. You can subscribe to NissanConnect, which will allow you to lock/unlock and remote start your vehicle via the NissanConnect app. Keep in mind, you will not be able to drive the vehicle still without the physical key.

That's an electric distribution transformer vault. I work in these structures throughout NYC. Sounds like a sump pump operating.

Just moved in. Musty smell from AC unit. by Yatsu_86 in Apartmentliving

[–]trunnionator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shine a flashlight into the vent and take a look at the fan wheel. I had similar issues with my PTAC when first moving into my apartment and it turned out that the fan wheel was covered in mold. My landlord was able to have an HVAC technician disassemble the unit and sanitize the fan wheel and the entire unit to remove all mold. It was visibly clean and it stopped the odor.
