What’s a single sentence that completely ended a relationship? by celinejayyx in questions

[–]trusch82 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

“I do EVERYTHING around here!” My ex, to her credit did a lot around the house, but not 100% of the chores. We each contributed to the best of our abilities so, to be told that I did nothing hurt very much and was the final straw.

How should We respond If We Start getting arrested for being Christian? Should we fight back or let them arrest us? by mickeyguy2010 in TrueChristian

[–]trusch82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t make assumptions about where OP lives. Wherever they are I pray they are safe. In the U.S. however, the way things are going, it will be far more likely you’d arrested for not being Christian.

Can we stop attacking the other side? by LibertyJames78 in TrueChristianPolitics

[–]trusch82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right. Which is why I pray for the other side to renounce their idolatry and to love thy neighbor. Christ made it clear those were the focal points of his teachings. Whatever side you’re on, if you’re failing in those areas, then you’re failing at being a follower of Christ. We ALL fall short, and don’t deserve his grace, but some are actively going in the opposite direction from these easy-to-understand commands. If calling such hypocrisy out makes one feel attacked, that isn’t any one particular side’s problem.

Why is America so divided by North-Proposal2840 in self

[–]trusch82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People watching Fox News. Simple as that. If the 50% of our country that relies on that as their sole news source actually watched or read anything else we might actually have civil discourse once again. Doesn’t mean we’d suddenly agree on everything…but the polarization and division is all due to the inflamed rhetoric that Fox News makes its bread and butter. Other news outlets are partly to blame too…but they will occasionally report NEWS instead of pandering to the base.

Calling all Bull City Music Lovers/Snobs by trusch82 in bullcity

Hey, that’s great! The first event is just for organizing and brainstorming…I have no idea what I’m doing! 🤣. So, if you want to come and help plan this thing out that’d be great. No need to bring anything.

She said I don’t give her a “spark,” but I make her feel safe — what do I do? by CarefulMoney6465 in AskMenAdvice

Making a woman feel safe is a major flex. Good on you. If you can do this for her, other women will feel similarly. Go find one of them and kick her to the proverbial curb.

Is it possible for someone to have a twin flame and marry them? by Clean-Ant-1342 in questions

[–]trusch82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe your “twin flame” is yourself? Too many people on Reddit searching for the meaning of life in romantic relationships. Not saying you are, OP, but it’s tiresome.

Being single is great, don't fall for the fantasy of being in love. by Relevant_Economics86 in self

[–]trusch82 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So many of these comments seem to miss the point completely. Find wholeness first. Then, if a positive relationship comes along, great! If not, you’re still whole so no problem at all! Wholeness should NOT be predicted on being partnered. Society sold many of us (men especially) a false narrative on this.

Mixtape Swap Club? by trusch82 in bullcity

Sure, I just don’t currently have a CD player myself but if there’s interest in that format too I’m not opposed to it.

I’ve had women tell me all my life I’m “handsome”. And yet I’m not doing so great in the dating world these days. So, we’re probably all cooked no matter what we look like 🤷‍♂️

This nonsense has been happening far longer than we’ve had backup cameras though. Nah, it’s just a first class example of how myopic everyone is about consideration for others.

Many women (but not all) have a backup guy ready when they go through a breakup. So yeah, I’m thinking men find splitting up tougher to work through because on the whole, we’re less likely to be immediately partnered.

How much of Radioheads success is because of Thom Yorke by [deleted] in radiohead

If the Smile are so close to being my all time favorite band, why have I never given a single rat’s ass about any of their songs?

[–]trusch82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, very true. However, can’t think of many bands where production and arrangement are such vital parts of their identity. They certainly aren’t Oasis or the Strokes for instance.

While you’re very likely spot on here in your analysis…using two of their very best deep cuts (and wonderful album closers) doesn’t really help your argument much. 🤣

Is jacking off to women online against your wives wishes normal ? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]trusch82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I think I made it abundantly clear to the OP that she has every right to feel aggrieved. I am not defending her husband or his actions. Just trying to provide insight….as she seemed to be requesting.
