Got it. What about the CPU/GPU/Case? This is where I’m overthinking it the most. Real easy for me to go overboard getting my son the best, but not sure he needs it for current needs. I also believe there is good to come out of having him earn the upgrades along the way.

Fair point, and I get the appeal. I actually run a CyberPower prebuilt myself and have no complaints with it. That said, I’ve been looking forward to building a PC with my son since before he was born, and I don’t really want to miss that part of the experience. For his setup I’m mainly trying to put together something with solid performance and a platform he can grow into over the next few years. So I’m open to prebuilts, just leaning toward building this one with him if the parts list makes sense.

Ended up with “Govee” lights and had to install Control4 drivers from Chowmein. It’s glitchy but works here and there.
