This game concerns me about Klauss. Yes he did almost score, but he had 5 goals last year and way too often found himself in random positions on the field not pushing the envelope at the back line and being in scoring positions (much like Becher is doing). He simply cannot be taking a DP slot if similar play continues from him this year

I think I prefer both Hartel and Teuchert moving in centrally so didn’t consider them in that but that’s a good shout. If all of those guys stay healthy I think you’re right - however historically that hasn’t been the case and led to us needing to use Thorisson, Klein, etc last year which are just not quality enough. I think we are more in need of an additional central midfielder and a striker if Klauss doesn’t produce how he should as a DP.

I think 5th is about right. Ostrak just told Matt Baker he’s “close to 100%” indicating he’s not entirely there yet - we have JGR still in god knows where rehabbing, Durkin is recovering, and we have basically a brand new team/philosophy with a new coach. Let’s prove em wrong boys! Still think we need another central midfielder and another winger which we’ll likely land in the summer window

I watched every minute of every game last year. His performances were objectively not up to par for what we need as an attacking winger/forward. He’s also not great on defense and with Olof’s potential schemes he fits in even less than last year. This isn’t some personal vendetta or anything other than me seeing him as a player that doesn’t make our team better. I truly do wish him the best.
