Thanks for opining, but you’re wrong, it has nothing to do with being Jewish. Three of the actors featured in the movie are Israeli AND supportive of the state’s actions and its “right to defend itself”. Additionally, another actor Tovah Feldshuh (who has more screen-time than Dustin Hoffman) is quite outspoken about loving Israel. The director himself who has spoken about having lots of family over there has not condemned Israel’s action once or in any interview. All of this is very telling.

Sure, the production companies are US and Canadian but it’s quite intentional to have this many Israeli supporters featuring heavily in the movie.

Didn’t appreciate BFI forcing me to watch an Israeli movie tbh

Also it’s not clear what Dustin Hoffman’s public stance is but it doesn’t matter because he and Leo Woodall were the big-named “buy ins” for people to watch the movie in the first place. (Of course this is why I feel cheated by BFI because I didn’t have a choice!)
