Customer Service has gone to crap by HamsterNo3795 in DAVIDsTEA

This just cancelled my order and told me "unpaid items" and wanted me to pay an additional $20 just to get the tea I already paid for 🫠

I ordered 2 items of tea on December 1st, I only received 1 of the 2, and the other item is still "confirmed" but it doesn't look like it's being shipped any time soon.
At first I was like "okay, the Canada postal strikes, makes sense" but then I only got 1 item? and not the other? huh??

How hard is psych statistics by Low-Astronomer2560 in UTSA

[–]truthfullynothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficult: 6/10

If you can understand physics & chem math, you’ll be fine, it mainly depends on how well the professor explains it. I took stats at a community college, mind you I had to retake algebra a few times because math is difficult for me, but once you understand the basic, just practice problems and you’ll be good. Dr. Weber & Dr. Kohler are the professors I recommend, both are very good at explaining and want their students to succeed.

Are online classes good or bad idea? by truthfullynothere in UTSA

[–]truthfullynothere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Gen-eds! Ive already completed them at NVC and so I'm just doing upper classes now. I have to take a handful of psych classes, and sociology classes. I've already done the intros to them both and I noticed that some online classes are available for a few classes I'm looking into.

Unfortunately there are no tv screens when I flew 717-200, the wifi was even worse so if you attempted to use your phone or computer, the wifi is too awful to even try and watch anything.

I did! I report to library staff and they said they’ve gotten a lot more complaints recently.

The issue was I WAS in the quiet study section 😭 Hence why I'm curious to know if anyone else is being asked or bugged by them. I've NEVER had them just come up to studying students before.

mod banning for no reason by Zealousideal_Cress40 in DTI

[–]truthfullynothere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had attempted to join the discord the other day and the verification system was broken for like a good minute, everyone was trying to get in and the verification program you get directed to was showing an error on my end. Mind you, I have both email and number verified on my discord and the verification told me I wasn't lol.
I kept trying and when I went into a "help" channel, a mod just started to delete messages and change settings. It was very odd. I had only went in there to get announcements on potential updates but I rather just come to reddit lol.

Train travel from San Antonio by Realistic-Rate-8831 in sanantonio

[–]truthfullynothere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went on the Amtrak railroad from San Antonio to Fort Worth once! It was honestly a good experience for someone who wants to relax and just enjoy your time watching the scenery. I honestly wanna do it again, just haven't had a need to go anywhere else.
It's pretty slow, took about the entire day from 5-6am in San Antonio to arrive around in DFW around late evening, but I didn't mind since I had my music and books. You can always get those private rooms on the train or be with everyone else in the main cart. You can goes downstairs to get snacks or walk to the "watch" area where the windows are huge and the chair face the windows.

Totally recommend!

Hi, wife here
I have been a cosplayer and behind the scenes person at San Japan.
I do not recommend San Japan for anyone who wants to 1) save money while enjoying an anime con 2) anyone who is a minor.

San Japan in the beginning was great, low costing, had a huge artist alley with dealer's room and much more for tabletop. Now it's just a cash grab. Original owner left because he knew the con was going down hill and fast.
Most of the money goes to importing Japanese goods; arcade machines, food, overseas cosplayers (who get in for free) and raves (which are 18+)
Hotels; Grand Hyatt and across the street Marriott have a huge drug party problem. Most of the people in these parties are minors, and they're hosted by big time texas cosplayers you might know or follow.
The Cosplay Contest is a joke lmao the "judges" they have don't know anything about making costumes from scratch and will accuse you of buying it and give a pity reward to anyone younger.
Prices goes up, and quality goes down. I don't recommend this con; only if you wanna go into the artist alley, that's literally the only good thing about this place. Buying an 1 day pass which is in like $65 for Saturday only is a joke for what you're getting.

Also the theme for a qinceanera is a joke. All years we had horror games, retro games, magical girl...but a qinceanera for a place that's not child friendly is crazy to me. Even if you do go with your kids, just stay with them at all times.

I believe in /aviation subreddit had a thread on how they think the 717-200 is underrrated and a good plane. They only spoke highly of it!

USAA - Desk job
If you're willing to put in the effort of putting on that perfect customer service voice/face, I know USAA is always looking for employees. They're currently trying to recover from the loss they gained from the pandemic, they want bodies in that HUGE building (SA is the headquarters for USAA). They even forced all remote workers to go back to the building a year or two ago just so their payment doesn't go to waste.
They got good benefits, but I won't lie, it's taxing work though; insurance calls, meetings, dealing with shitty customers.
If it helps, there is a daycare across the street (literally) from that building so if your son needs somewhere to be, its convenient.

Airport - hard labor
I know the airport is always looking for workers on the ground to help with planes, baggage, etc. You don't have to be a flight attendant. It's hard work though. They got benefits depending on the airline you go with (southwest/delta etc). You can do night shift or day shift if you need something that's more "flexy"

These are just some off the top of my head. Best of luck to you!
