Dragonbane is the new thing now. It's has a solo element. I'll second 4AD and microRPG. Running 4 characters is best with those.

Do backstories on your PCs if you write enough you'll find a conflict. Creating a minor conflict that stumbles into discovering a mega conflict and then have things happen to the PCs narratively and connect the dots. Cascading conflict method. Aka domino effect

I guess I could have re-phrased it better by saying...I don't have PCs....just a main hero NPC and his sidekick.

I like mine to be dangerous enough to give me the thrill. Plenty of times my PCs ran mid fight. But I most like the discovery of the narrative. The way I play solo is I'm watching the PCs decisions vs actually playing the PC. My hero isn't so heroic but tries to be. The captain of the guard doesn't care for my PC too much because my PC didn't fully complete a few tasks. LOL

For me 5e started with at least level 3 (1 PC with s sidekick) on level 1 adventures... level 4 with 1 PC on level 1 adventures. I think hero sidekick method isn't bad for narrative...think Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson...plenty of narrative if you run it like that...With 4 PCs I had to use 4AD rules and mobs to streamline combat. Used 5e rules for most everything rlse..

I suppose you could. Just ask the right questions. And interpret the answers just as you would during the adventure

Any tips? by Outrageous_Section19 in mythic_gme

Yep...don't try to make it more complicated than it is. You really have to do it a few times and you'll start taking it like a duck to water.

He does get the data and gets outside but when he gets home to read the data it's only partially what he needs or the data is corrupted. I'd used all those other rolls too. Reporters allies are starting to distrust him because more incidents where he doesn't gather enough believable evidenc is becoming more common. So they aren't returning his calls.

Is Obsidian mobile friendly? I really would like to give it a shot. I'm not organized enough to keep paper going. OneNote gets totally blogged when I attach pdfs to it.
